Its LED indicator array covers both the lateral (side-to-side) and longitudinal (front-to-back) axes simultaneously, so you can watch a single device while a helper adjusts the leveling jacks or blocks -- or you can run the jacks yourself and glance at the unit through a window or open door.

Place the EZ-Level on a surface that is permanently level relative to the RV frame -- a fixed countertop or the floor works well. Avoid surfaces that flex or shift (like a slide-out that hasn't fully extended). For tow-behind trailers, level side-to-side first using wheel chocks or leveling blocks, then adjust the tongue jack for front-to-back level. For motorhomes with auto-leveling systems, the EZ-Level provides a quick visual confirmation that the system finished correctly.
The EZ-Level requires 3 AA batteries, which are not included. The 10-minute auto-shutoff feature is specifically designed to extend battery life during campground setup, when it's common to leave a leveling tool on while handling other tasks.
