Clean, great-tasting drinking water at every campsite. The EVO inline filter connects directly to your RV water hose using standard 3/4-inch GHT fittings and uses KDF filtration media to reduce chlorine taste and odor, sediment, bacteria, and other contaminants before they reach your plumbing -- no canisters to swap, no tools required.
Campground water quality varies wildly. Some sites deliver water that smells like a swimming pool; others carry rust, sediment, or a metallic taste that lingers in your coffee and ice. The Camco EVO 40631 sits between the spigot and your RV's inlet -- filtering the water before it ever enters your tank or on-demand water heater.
The EVO's KDF (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) media works through a redox reaction to reduce chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, iron, lead, and certain bacteria and algae. A granular activated carbon (GAC) stage follows to polish taste and capture remaining odor compounds. The result is noticeably cleaner water with no cartridges to unscrew or housings to sanitize mid-trip.
Two-stage media reduces chlorine, sediment, bacteria, and hydrogen sulfide odor effectively.
Threads directly onto any standard garden hose or RV water hose -- no adapters needed for most setups.
UV-resistant canister built for outdoor campsite use. Stands up to sun, temperature swings, and repeated use.
Installs in seconds between the water pedestal and your RV hose. No tools, no fittings, no permanent plumbing.
The dual-media design targets the most common campsite water complaints:
The EVO 40631 is compact enough to tuck into a wet bay or utility compartment between uses. It is equally at home on a weekend warrior's checklist or plumbed into a full-timer's permanent hookup routine. Replace the filter after approximately 3 months of regular use or when flow rate noticeably drops.
Tip: Use a white/clear drinking water safe hose on the outlet side to keep the filtered water clean all the way to your inlet. Camco's Tastepure hoses pair well with this filter.
The EVO is rated for campground city water pressure, typically 40-60 PSI (use an RV pressure regulator upstream if your site runs higher). Flow rate through the filter is approximately 1.0 GPM, adequate for filling tanks and running appliances. High-demand simultaneous loads -- like running a dishwasher, shower, and washing machine at the same time -- may see slightly reduced pressure at fixtures, which is normal for any inline filter.
The Camco EVO reduces contaminants but is not rated for purification of untreated backcountry or well water of unknown quality. For boondocking with non-potable water sources, pair this filter with a certified purification solution. This filter is intended for use with treated municipal or campground water supplies.
