A reliable, purpose-built regulator assembly for connecting standard 20 lb. or larger propane cylinders to low-pressure camp appliances. The 72-inch hose gives you real reach at the campsite, and the all-in-one design means no hunting for separate fittings or adapters.
The MB Sturgis 106044-72-MBS is a single-stage, low-pressure regulator and hose assembly rated for up to 65,000 BTU per hour -- enough output for a full-size BBQ grill, a patio heater, a fire pit table, or most other low-pressure propane appliances you bring to the campsite. Everything you need for a secure, code-compliant connection comes in one package.
The regulator delivers a fixed 11 inches of water column ("WC) output pressure, which is the standard operating pressure for virtually all low-pressure LP appliances sold in North America. The Type 1 (POL-style handwheel, QCC1) inlet threads directly onto any standard propane cylinder valve without tools. The 3/8" female NPT outlet mates to the inlet fitting on most portable camp appliances and aftermarket hose adapters.
Hand-tightens onto any standard 20 lb., 30 lb., or 100 lb. propane cylinder valve. No wrench or POL adapter needed.
Six feet of flexible LP hose lets you position your grill, heater, or fire pit away from the cylinder for convenience and safety clearance.
Delivers the standard low-pressure output required by portable BBQ grills, patio heaters, fire pit burners, and outdoor camp stoves.
Built and tested domestically. Backed by a limited 1-year manufacturer warranty from MB Sturgis.
Many portable appliances ship with a short, 12" to 18" hose-and-regulator combo that barely reaches the cylinder. The 106044-72-MBS replaces that assembly with a full 72" of reach, eliminating the need to set your cylinder directly under or beside the appliance. It is a direct upgrade for any low-pressure appliance that uses a Type 1 QCC1 connection at the tank.
This assembly also works as a standalone camp hose when your RV's on-board LP system is not available -- ideal for tailgating, primitive camping, or running a second appliance off a portable cylinder at a site with shore hookups.
The hose is a rubber-jacketed LP-rated assembly designed for outdoor use across a wide temperature range (-40 F to 130 F). End fittings are brass-bodied for corrosion resistance. The regulator body itself is a compact, thermoset-plastic-enclosed single-stage design typical of MB Sturgis outdoor-appliance regulators.
