A cracked, faded, or broken idler cover leaves the idler wheel of your Longitude awning exposed to UV rays, rain, road grime, and debris. This direct OEM replacement from Carefree of Colorado snaps the look and protection of your awning back to factory spec -- no drilling, no fabricating, no guesswork. Mounting screws are included.
The Carefree of Colorado R001834-006 is the genuine, manufacturer-sourced idler cover for the left-hand end of the Longitude awning arm assembly. "Left side" is determined when you are standing outside the RV facing the awning -- the idler cover is on your left, opposite the ratchet/motor end.
The idler cover houses and protects the idler pulley that guides the awning fabric during extension and retraction. Over time, prolonged sun exposure causes the original cover to fade, warp, or crack. Replacing it promptly prevents debris from damaging the pulley or fabric and keeps your awning operating smoothly.
Genuine Carefree of Colorado replacement, not an aftermarket approximation. Matches original dimensions and mounting points exactly.
Designed specifically for the idler (non-drive) end of the Longitude awning arm, left side when facing the awning from outside.
Shields the idler wheel from UV, rain, road dust, and debris to extend the service life of the pulley and awning fabric.
Mounting hardware is included in the package. No extra trip to the hardware store required for a basic cover swap.
Stand outside your RV and face the awning as it would be extended. The left side is where the idler wheel lives -- the passive, non-motorized end. The right side carries the drive motor or ratchet mechanism. Order R001834-006 for the left (idler) end only. If you need the right-side cover or a motor-end cover, a different Carefree part number applies.
The Carefree Longitude is a 12-volt electrically operated RV awning system commonly found on Class A, Class C, and fifth-wheel coaches. The awning uses a telescoping arm design with an integrated travel lock. Both the idler-end and drive-end covers are separate service parts, allowing targeted replacement without disassembling the full arm assembly.
R001834-006 is specific to the Longitude awning series. Carefree manufactures several other awning lines (Travel'r, Pioneer, Vista, etc.) that use different end covers with different mounting geometry. Verify your awning model on the data label before ordering. This cover will not fit non-Longitude Carefree awnings.
