Every PullRite SuperGlide fifth wheel hitch requires a capture plate to function. The 331704 QuickConnect Capture Plate is built specifically for Lippert 1621 (long) king pin boxes, 12-3/4" wide, giving you a direct, purpose-fit connection rather than a universal plate that needs extra adjustment.
Once installed on your trailer's king pin box, the plate's wedge isolates the king pin from turning freely in the fifth wheel plate. That isolation is what activates the SuperGlide's cam assembly, allowing the hitch to slide back along its rails during turns and keep your trailer from contacting the truck's cab.
