Purpose-built wiring for 12-volt sprayer pump installations, the Remco 901-001-R gives you professional-grade copper wire, a heavy-duty 30 amp on/off switch, and plug-and-play SAE connectivity in one ready-to-run kit. No splicing, no guesswork -- just clean power delivery from source to pump.
Undersized wiring is one of the most common causes of sprayer pump underperformance and premature failure. The Remco 901-001-R addresses that directly with 16 AWG heavily insulated copper wire rated to handle the full amp draw of pumps from 1.0 GPM up to 5.3 GPM -- covering Remco's own 2200, 2400, 3200, 3300, and 5500 series pumps as well as many competing 12-volt pump brands that use the standard 2-pin SAE connector.
At 116 inches (just under 10 feet), the main harness gives you enough reach to route cleanly from a vehicle battery or auxiliary power source to a pump mounted on a trailer, utility bed, ATV rack, or RV compartment. The included 12-inch car adapter extension adds flexibility for cab-based power connections.
Red and black bonded copper conductors with heavy insulation handle full amperage loads without voltage drop that robs pump performance.
Heavy-duty inline switch is rated for the sustained current demands of sprayer pumps up to 5.3 GPM. Controls power cleanly at the harness -- no need for a separate switch.
Both ends of the 116" harness terminate in 2-pin SAE connectors -- the industry standard on Remco sprayer pumps and most competing 12V pump brands. No adapters needed for compatible pumps.
The kit ships with a separate 12-inch extension fitted with a 12-volt car (cigarette lighter) adapter, giving you an additional quick-connect power source option right out of the box.
This harness is designed for 12-volt demand sprayer pumps running between 1.0 GPM and 5.3 GPM. Confirmed-compatible Remco pump series include:
The 2-pin SAE connector is a widely adopted standard in the 12V sprayer pump market, making this harness a direct fit for many other brands using the same connector format. If your current pump uses a 2-pin SAE plug, this harness will connect without modification.
Both the main harness and the car adapter extension use SAE connectors that click in positively and lock out moisture. No terminal crimping or wire stripping required for standard installations.
Sprayer pumps are high-cycle, demand-activated devices. Every time the pump kicks on to maintain pressure, it pulls a spike of current. Thin or poorly insulated wire generates heat during those cycles, leading to voltage drop, switch failure, and shortened pump life. The 901-001-R uses 16 AWG copper -- not aluminum, not copper-clad -- with thick bonded insulation on both the red positive and black negative conductors.
At pump draw levels of 4-8 amps (typical for the 2200-5500 series), 16 AWG wire keeps resistive losses well within acceptable limits across the full 116-inch run. Lighter 18 or 20 AWG wire at the same length would introduce measurable voltage drop and heat buildup under sustained use.
Installation is straightforward for anyone comfortable with basic 12V wiring:
Inspect SAE connector contacts seasonally for corrosion, especially in agricultural or high-humidity environments. A light application of dielectric grease at the connector pins extends service life significantly. Store excess wire in a loose coil -- never wrap tightly around sharp corners.
