Keep debris and contamination out of your sprayer pump with this purpose-built inlet strainer from Remco Industries. Designed for direct installation on the pump inlet, the R-309T153-R features a clear bowl for quick visual inspection without removing a single fitting -- so you know when it is time to clean without shutting down your entire sprayer.
Debris, sediment, and particulate matter are among the leading causes of premature sprayer pump wear. Remco designed the R-309T153-R specifically to intercept that contamination before it reaches pump check valves, diaphragms, or seals. The result is a longer pump service life and fewer mid-season failures.
The 50-mesh chemically resistant screen is rated to handle the fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and liquid concentrates commonly used in agricultural, lawn care, and spot-spray applications. The clear polycarbonate bowl lets you check filter loading at a glance -- no tools, no disassembly.
Transparent bowl allows fast visual checks for debris buildup without removing the strainer from the line.
Filters out fine particles while resisting common agricultural chemicals, herbicides, and fertilizers.
3/8" Male British Standard Pipe thread connects directly to most threaded-head Remco sprayer pumps with no adapter needed.
Standard 1/2" hose barb inlet integrates into existing 1/2" supply hose plumbing for a simple, tool-free hose connection.
The R-309T153-R is adaptable to most threaded-head sprayer pumps including Remco's Professional Grade 3300, 3200, 5500, and Fatboy series, as well as many comparable sprayer pumps from other manufacturers using 3/8" BSP inlet ports.
The outlet on this strainer is 3/8" MBSP (Male British Standard Pipe), which is a parallel thread standard. BSP parallel threads are not interchangeable with tapered NPT threads. Confirm your pump head accepts 3/8" BSP before ordering. Most Remco threaded-head pumps in the 3200, 3300, 5500, and Fatboy families use BSP ports and are fully compatible.
Remco recommends inspecting and cleaning the 50-mesh screen on a regular schedule based on your water source and chemical load. A clogged strainer restricts inlet flow, which reduces pump output pressure and can cause cavitation damage. Remove the bowl, rinse the screen with clean water, and reinstall before each use or whenever flow rate seems reduced. Do not use wire brushes on the mesh -- rinse only.
This strainer is an inlet pre-filter designed to catch coarse debris before it enters the pump. It is not a replacement for downstream nozzle tip filters or in-line system filters used to protect spray nozzles.
