When your Remco Fatboy pump starts rapid-cycling, pulsating, or won't hold pressure, the culprit is almost always the pressure switch. This is the correct OEM-spec replacement: a pre-wired pressure switch and load relay combination built specifically for the Fatboy series. Four screws out, four screws in, and your pump is back to full operation -- no splicing, no guesswork.
The PSW-FB-80-R is not a universal switch adapted to fit -- it is designed and manufactured specifically for the Remco Fatboy series of high-flow sprayer pumps. The switch assembly mounts directly to the pump body using the existing four-screw pattern, and the wiring harness connects without modification. Remco builds this unit in the USA to the same specification as the switch that shipped with your pump originally.
The integrated load relay is the key upgrade over standard pressure switches. By routing the high-current motor circuit through the relay rather than directly through the pressure switch contacts, the microswitch itself carries only the relay coil current. This dramatically extends contact life in demanding sprayer duty cycles where the switch may cycle hundreds of times per day.
Pre-wired to a load relay so the microswitch contacts carry only low coil current, extending switch life in high-cycle sprayer applications.
Cut-out pressure is field-adjustable using a standard 1/16" hex key. Set to match the pressure rating printed on your pump label.
Mounts directly to the Fatboy pump body using the existing four-screw pattern. No drilling, no adapters, no wiring splices required.
Manufactured by Remco Industries to OEM specification. Ensures correct fitment and consistent pressure calibration from the factory.
The cut-out pressure on this switch is adjustable across a range up to 80 PSI using a 1/16" (1.6 mm) hex key inserted into the adjustment port on the switch body. Remco's guidance is to set the cut-out pressure to match the value printed on the pump's label, or to adjust upward incrementally until rapid cycling and pulsation stop.
This pressure switch assembly is compatible with Remco Industries Fatboy series sprayer pumps only. It is not interchangeable with other Remco pump families (such as the 5500 or AquaPro series) and cannot be installed on pumps from other manufacturers. The mounting footprint, port location, and electrical connector are specific to the Fatboy platform.
Fatboy series pumps are high-capacity, high-cost units. A failed or mis-calibrated pressure switch is one of the most common reasons a Fatboy pump appears to malfunction -- and it is the least expensive fix. Before replacing the full pump, verify that the switch is actually the failure point: if the pump runs continuously without building pressure, the issue may be a valve or diaphragm. If the pump short-cycles or won't shut off, the pressure switch is the correct starting point for diagnosis.
