Combination two-stage regulator with a built-in excess flow valve, controlling propane pressure to all RV appliances in a horizontal-vent mounting orientation.
The Suburban Mfg 523014 is a two-stage propane regulator that controls the flow of gas to all RV appliances, not just a single appliance. Its built-in excess flow valve helps shut off gas flow automatically if a line downstream develops a major leak or break, adding a layer of safety to the propane system. This version is built for horizontal-vent mounting, meaning the regulator's pressure-relief vent is oriented to face sideways once installed, rather than up or down.
This is a whole-system propane regulator, not a water-heater-specific exhaust or flue vent. "Horizontal vent" describes the orientation of the regulator's own pressure-relief vent opening once mounted - a safety detail relevant to installation, not an appliance venting component.
This same two-stage regulator is also available in a vertical-vent orientation as part #523015, if that mounting style is required instead.
