The Curt 55325 is designed for the following vehicles: Ford: • Ranger — 1993 to 1999 Mazda: • B2300 — 1994 to 1997, 2001 to 2008 • B2500 — 1998 to 2001 • B3000 — 1994 to 2007 • B4000 — 1994 to 2008 This harness is vehicle-specific — verify your make, model, and year match before ordering. It will not fit other vehicles without modification.
The Curt 55325 is a custom T-connector wiring harness that gives your Ford Ranger or Mazda B-Series pickup a standard 4-way flat trailer connector without touching a single wire. The harness uses OEM-compatible connectors to "T" into the vehicle's taillight assembly — simply unplug the existing taillight connectors, plug in the harness between them, and route the 4-way flat output to the rear of the vehicle. The whole job requires basic hand tools and no electrical knowledge beyond plugging in connectors.
A built-in tail light converter handles the signal conversion between the truck's separate brake and turn signal circuits and the combined trailer wiring format, so trailer lights work correctly right out of the box. SMT (surface mount technology) circuitry keeps the converter compact, generates less heat, and provides better durability under the vibration of towing than older through-hole designs. A rubber dust cover protects the 4-way flat connector when no trailer is connected.
