Fixed pressure regulator that reduces incoming campground water pressure to a safe 40–50 PSI to protect RV plumbing. Lead-free brass body. 3/4" GSH female swivel inlet x 1/2" NPSM male outlet. Screened washer and orange grip ring included. No gauge, no check valve. Conforms with federal and CA/VT drinking water regulations.
The Valterra A01-1120VP is one of the most widely used pressure regulators in the RV industry — a compact, fixed-pressure brass regulator that installs between the campground water spigot and the RV's city water inlet to protect the RV's plumbing from high incoming water pressure.
Campground water pressure varies widely — many municipal systems run at 60–80 PSI or higher. RV plumbing, fittings, and hoses are typically rated for 45–60 PSI maximum, and sustained high pressure can cause leaks, burst fittings, and damaged water heater bypass valves over time. The A01-1120VP reduces incoming pressure to a consistent 40–50 PSI regardless of what the supply side is delivering. The regulator is fixed — it has no adjustment — and does not include a gauge or check valve. The orange grip ring provides a no-tools grip surface for hand-tightening, and the built-in screened washer filters debris from the incoming water. Lead-free brass construction complies with federal laws and California AB1953 / Vermont Act 193 regulations for drinking water fixtures.
Install the regulator as the second device on the spigot, after the vacuum breaker: Spigot → Vacuum breaker → Pressure regulator → Filter → Hose → RV city water inlet 1. Thread the 3/4" swivel inlet onto the spigot or vacuum breaker outlet — hand-tighten using the orange grip ring 2. Thread the fresh water hose onto the 1/2" NPSM male outlet 3. Connect the other end of the hose to the RV city water inlet Note: The A01-1120VP is directional — flow must enter through the female swivel inlet and exit through the male outlet. Installing it backwards will not regulate pressure.
• 1x Valterra A01-1120VP Pressure Regulator • Screened inlet washer • Orange grip ring For a gauge version (see pressure reading): • A01-1125VP — Same regulator with built-in pressure gauge Often used with: • Camco 40395 Vacuum Breaker (install before regulator) • Camco TastePURE inline water filter (install after regulator)
The A01-1120VP has a fixed output of 40–50 PSI with no adjustment. If you need to see the regulated output pressure or verify the regulator is working, see the A01-1125VP which adds a built-in gauge. This regulator does not include a check valve — it will not prevent backflow. A separate vacuum breaker (such as Camco 40395) should be installed upstream for backflow protection.
