The Xantrex 804-1240-10 TRUEcharge3 is a 40 amp, 12 volt smart battery charger designed for RV, marine, commercial vehicle, and specialty vehicle battery systems. Its microprocessor-controlled multistage charging helps deliver reliable charging for compatible lead-acid, LFP/lithium, and custom battery charging profiles.
The TRUEcharge3 accepts a wide AC input range and can be used with shore power, generator power, and varied AC power environments. It includes three diode-isolated outputs for charging up to three compatible 12V battery banks, provided the connected batteries are properly matched for chemistry, voltage, and system configuration.

The TRUEcharge3 40A charger is a strong fit for RVs, boats, heavy-duty trucks, coaches, buses, work trucks, and specialty vehicles that need faster 12V battery charging from shore power or generator power. This 40A model is a good middle option in the TRUEcharge3 12V lineup when the 20A model is too small but the 60A model is more charger than the system requires.

The optional Xantrex 808-8040-10 TRUEcharge3 Remote Panel can be used for remote monitoring and control. The remote panel allows users to turn charger output on/off, view battery state of charge and charge current, display fault information, adjust maximum output from 20% to 100%, activate Quiet Mode, and support parallel charging. TRUEcharge3 parallel stacking requires the TRUEcharge3 Remote Panel.
Xantrex 804-1240-10 is the TRUEcharge3 40A / 12V model. It is not a 12V/24V selectable charger. For 24V systems, use the correct TRUEcharge3 24V model instead. When charging multiple battery banks, all connected batteries must be compatible with the selected charging profile. Do not mix battery chemistries or 12V and 24V banks on this charger.
The Xantrex 804-1240-10 is the 40A / 12V TRUEcharge3 model. TRUEcharge3 chargers are not 12V/24V selectable; choose the correct 12V or 24V model for your battery system.
