It bolts to the center tube of the Gooseneck and delivers 8,000 lbs of hydraulic lifting power — a fast, reliable upgrade over manual hand crank jacks that takes the effort out of raising and lowering your trailer every time you park or move.
The 3.5" × 3.5" square tube-in-tube construction keeps the unit rigid under load, and the commercial single-function pump is mounted directly to the jack with a steel pump cover included for weather and road debris protection. The weatherproof single switch gear control features a key lock to prevent accidental operation and deter unauthorized use. All wire harnesses are protected with PVC high-temperature nylon braid for durability in demanding trailer environments. Universal mounting brackets are included for a straightforward installation, and the unit is also compatible with EQ Systems' optional wireless remote (part #7823, sold separately) for added operating convenience.

Here's how to decide: AJ70 Series — 8470UPS (This Unit) 3.5" × 3.5" square tube-in-tube jack 8,000 lb capacity Designed for LQ trailers with 11' short walls or shorter Weatherproof keyed gear switch Screw-drive manual override Cylinder bore: 2" AM Series — 8222FUPS 4" × 4" square tube-in-tube jack (larger tube size) 12,000 lb capacity (heavier-duty) Manual override: hand pump (no tools required) Cylinder bore: 2.5" If your trailer is an LQ Gooseneck with an 11' short wall or shorter and doesn't require the extra capacity of the AM series, the AJ70 is the right choice. If you need more lifting capacity or prefer a hand pump override, step up to the AM series.
The following items are not included with the 8470UPS and must be sourced before installation: • Mounting Bolts: A bolt kit is required for mounting — sold separately. Contact us or EQ Systems for the correct bolt kit for this application • Hydraulic Fluid: Use Dexron ATF — fill reservoir to approximately 1–1.5" from top after installation Order your bolt kit at the same time as this jack to have everything on hand for installation.
Can be installed by most trailer dealers or mechanics familiar with hydraulic and 12V electrical systems. Designed to replace most existing jacks on the Gooseneck center tube. 1. Remove Existing Jack: Remove the current jack from the center tube of the Gooseneck trailer 2. Position Mounting Brackets: Position the universal mounting brackets on the trailer center tube at the correct height and alignment per EQ Systems' installation guide 3. Bolt Brackets: Secure mounting brackets using the appropriate bolt kit (sold separately); torque to specification 4. Mount Jack: Attach the 3.5" × 3.5" square tube-in-tube jack to the mounted brackets 5. Connect Harnesses: Route and connect PVC-braided wire harnesses from pump to the weatherproof keyed switch; secure away from moving parts, sharp edges, and heat 6. Connect to 12V Source: Connect harness to trailer's 12V battery; ensure battery is charged and maintained 7.
