OEM replacement breather cap and grommet for any EQ Systems MTE pump. Restores proper reservoir venting and fluid fill access on MTE hydraulic pump assemblies.
The EQ Systems 7825 is the OEM replacement breather cap and grommet for EQ Systems MTE hydraulic pump assemblies. On MTE pumps, the breather cap serves a dual purpose: it vents the reservoir to prevent pressure buildup as hydraulic fluid expands and contracts during operation, and it also serves as the fluid fill point for adding or topping off Dexron ATF hydraulic fluid.
When the breather cap cracks, becomes damaged, or loses its seal due to grommet deterioration, the reservoir can develop pressure imbalances that affect system performance — or allow contamination to enter the fluid supply. Replacing the cap and grommet together restores proper reservoir function on any MTE pump model.
Replace both the cap and grommet together when servicing. A new cap on a worn grommet may not seat securely, which can allow road debris or moisture to enter the reservoir and contaminate the hydraulic fluid.
The 7825 is designed for EQ Systems MTE pump assemblies only. It is not compatible with S-series or other non-MTE EQ Systems pump reservoirs. The breather cap must be oriented facing upward after installation. On MTE pumps, the pump must be mounted so that the breather cap is in the up position — this ensures proper venting and allows the reservoir to be filled correctly. If the cap is not facing up, the system will not fill or vent as intended.
After replacing the breather cap and grommet, check the hydraulic fluid level before operating the system. Always check and fill the reservoir with all jacks and slides fully retracted. Refill as needed with Dexron ATF fluid. A fill level indicator line on the reservoir shows the correct level. The breather cap is the fill point — remove it to add fluid.
