Three tab sizes, one kit. The Ancor SPK1614 gives you the female adhesive-lined heat shrink disconnects needed to terminate marine or RV speakers cleanly and reliably -- without hunting down individual connectors. The adhesive-lined heat shrink barrel seals out moisture, salt spray, and vibration, making these connectors equally at home on a boat, camper, or trailer.
Speaker terminals vary by manufacturer. Some use a 0.250-inch blade, others use a 0.188-inch or the narrower 0.110-inch tab. Rather than buying three separate connector packages, the SPK1614 bundles two of each size into a single kit -- covering virtually any speaker you are likely to install.
Each connector is a female disconnect with an adhesive-lined heat shrink sleeve. When heat is applied, the polyolefin outer sleeve shrinks and the inner adhesive layer melts and flows around the wire, creating a watertight mechanical bond. No tape, no silicone sealant, and no exposed metal to corrode.
Kit contains (2) 0.250", (2) 0.188", and (2) 0.110" tab female disconnects -- the three most common speaker terminal widths.
Dual-wall construction with a hot-melt adhesive inner layer flows into wire strands and connector barrel on heating, creating a moisture-tight seal.
Designed to resist salt fog, humidity, and vibration -- appropriate for bilge-adjacent speaker runs on boats and outdoor-exposed wiring in RV bays.
Compatible with speaker terminals from Polk Audio, JL Audio, Kenwood, Pioneer, Jensen, Fusion, and other major marine and aftermarket speaker brands.
Standard heat shrink connectors shrink around the wire but leave microscopic air gaps. Adhesive-lined (dual-wall) connectors melt an inner glue layer that bonds directly to the insulation. The result is a sealed, strain-relieved connection that resists pull-out and blocks moisture wicking -- critical in wet bilge areas or exterior RV speaker locations.
The SPK1614 connectors are sized for 16 to 14 AWG speaker wire, which is the standard range for most marine and car audio speaker runs up to approximately 20 feet. Verify your wire gauge before crimping. The clear sleeve lets you confirm full wire insertion before applying heat.
These connectors are well-suited for any speaker installation where moisture or vibration is a concern:
Heat shrink connections are permanent -- they are not designed to be unplugged and re-used repeatedly. If a speaker must be serviced, cut the connector off at the terminal and install a new one from the kit. Always keep a spare kit on board or in the tow vehicle for roadside or dockside repairs.
