BatteryMINDer 12-Volt Desulfates Up to 6 Batteries BatteryMINDer OBD-12V OnBoard Battery Desulfator -- Keep Your Batteries Healthy While You Drive

Sulfation is the leading cause of early battery failure in RVs, boats, and tow vehicles. The BatteryMINDer OBD-12V plugs directly into your 12V electrical system and uses high-frequency pulse technology to dissolve sulfate buildup while your engine runs -- no downtime, no extra steps, no separate charging session required.

Continuous Desulfation Without Pulling Over

Most battery desulfators require you to connect the unit while the vehicle is parked and the battery is at rest. The OBD-12V is engineered specifically for onboard, in-use operation -- it works in parallel with your alternator while the engine is running, addressing sulfation in real time. For RV owners with house battery banks, this means your batteries are being conditioned on every drive, not just when you remember to hook up a charger.

The unit handles up to 6 batteries simultaneously, making it practical for rigs with large 12V house banks, dual chassis batteries, or parallel battery configurations common in Class A and Class C motorhomes.

High-Frequency Pulse Desulfation

Sends controlled pulses through the battery to break down lead sulfate crystals on the plates -- the primary cause of capacity loss and hard starts.

Up to 6 Batteries at Once

Connect to a battery bank and condition all batteries in parallel. Ideal for RV house banks, commercial vehicles, and marine applications.

Built-In Battery Condition Indicator

On-unit LED indicator gives you a quick visual read on battery condition without pulling out a multimeter.

Universal Battery Compatibility

Effective on flooded, maintenance-free, sealed, AGM, Gel, and deep cycle lead-acid batteries from any manufacturer.

Why Sulfation Matters for RV Batteries

Lead-acid batteries -- including AGM and Gel -- develop lead sulfate crystals on their plates any time they sit partially or fully discharged. This is especially common in RVs that go weeks between trips, or in house battery banks that are frequently drawn down. Over time, sulfation reduces the battery's ability to accept a charge, lowers usable capacity, and forces your alternator to work harder and longer to push amps into a degraded battery.

Continuous, low-level high-frequency pulses -- like those produced by the OBD-12V -- have been shown to reverse early-to-moderate sulfation and slow the buildup of new crystals. The result is batteries that charge faster, hold more capacity, and last longer before needing replacement.

Alternator and Belt Protection
When batteries are heavily sulfated, the alternator must sustain high charge current for longer periods to force a full charge into the degraded plates. This accelerates wear on the alternator, drive belt, and voltage regulator. Keeping batteries sulfate-free with the OBD-12V reduces that sustained load, helping extend the life of your charging system components.

What Is Included

  • BatteryMINDer OBD-12V OnBoard Desulfator unit
  • 3-foot DC power cord with ring terminals (for direct battery connection)
  • 3-inch input connector
Installation Note: The OBD-12V connects directly to your battery terminals via the included ring terminal leads. Mount the compact unit (5.7" x 2.25" x 1.25") in an accessible spot in your engine bay or battery compartment. No additional hardware is required for basic installation.

Compatible Battery Types

  • Flooded / wet cell (standard and maintenance-free)
  • AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat)
  • Gel cell
  • Sealed lead-acid (SLA)
  • Deep cycle (RV house batteries, marine)
Maintenance Tip: For best results, pair the OBD-12V with a quality battery charger/maintainer when the vehicle is parked for extended periods. The OBD-12V is an active desulfator, not a charger -- it does not replace a shore power charger or converter while your rig sits in storage.

Warranty

BatteryMINDer backs the OBD-12V with a 1-Year 100% Money-Back Guarantee and a 5-Year "No Hassle" Warranty -- one of the strongest coverage packages in the battery maintenance category.

Important Information
  • The OBD-12V is a desulfator only -- it does not charge batteries. A separate battery charger or converter is required to maintain state of charge when the vehicle is not running.
  • Designed for 12-volt lead-acid battery systems only. Not compatible with 24V systems or lithium (LiFePO4) battery chemistries.
  • Connect ring terminals securely to battery posts or bus bar. Loose connections can reduce pulse effectiveness or cause arcing.
  • The OBD-12V can restore early-to-moderate sulfation but cannot recover a battery that has shorted cells, physical plate damage, or severe deep discharge damage. Test battery health before assuming sulfation is the only issue.
  • Mount in a location protected from direct water spray. The unit is not rated for full submersion or direct exposure to standing water.
  • Do not use on non-lead-acid battery types including NiMH, NiCd, or lithium chemistries.
