Direct-fit OE upgrade rear shock for 1999–2010 Silverado/Sierra 2500 and 1500 HD trucks at stock height. 46mm monotube nitrogen gas design. Not for Quadrasteer or ZX3 models. No hardware included. Made in the USA.
The Bilstein 24-060820 B6 4600 Series Rear Shock Absorber is a direct-fit OE upgrade engineered for the long-running GM heavy-duty truck platform — covering the Chevrolet Silverado 2500, Silverado 2500 HD, Silverado 1500 HD, and their GMC Sierra counterparts from 1999 through 2010. These are trucks built for serious work: towing fifth wheels, hauling heavy payloads, running work sites, and logging high-mileage on highways — and the 4600 series is tuned to keep up with those demands without sacrificing the ride quality that makes long trips bearable.
Bilstein's application-specific 46mm monotube design provides the rear damping control these trucks need, whether loaded or unloaded. Unlike generic heavy-duty replacements that sacrifice ride for stiffness, the 4600 is precisely valved for the Silverado/Sierra 2500 platform — delivering confident rear stability under tow, better load control with a payload in the bed, and a more composed, settled ride on the highway with an empty truck.
Eyelet upper and lower mounts — direct bolt-on replacement using stock mounting hardware (not included)
Fade-free rear damping under sustained heavy loads — cooler operation and longer service life than twin-tube alternatives
Increases rear suspension carrying capacity — improved stability and load control when towing or hauling heavy payloads
Designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA. Backed by Bilstein's limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser
