Keep your EVO filter system performing at its best with this factory-matched replacement cartridge. KDF/GAC dual-media filtration combined with a 5-micron mechanical barrier removes the contaminants that make campground and municipal water taste and smell bad -- chlorine, sediment, VOCs, bacteria, and more. Drop-in replacement, no tools required.
Whether you are pulling into a crowded campground, filling up at a rural spigot, or dry camping with stored tank water, incoming water quality is unpredictable. The Camco EVO system was designed specifically for the demands of RV use -- constant pressure variation, irregular use cycles, and a wide range of source water quality.
The 40624 replacement cartridge is the OEM-matched media insert for Camco EVO filter housings (sold separately, part 40621 and related EVO units). It maintains the full rated performance of your EVO system and should be replaced at the intervals recommended by Camco -- typically every season or every 3 months of active use, whichever comes first.
Kinetic Degradation Fluxion media reduces heavy metals, hydrogen sulfide, chlorine, and inhibits bacterial growth inside the cartridge.
GAC media adsorbs chlorine byproducts, VOCs, and the organic compounds responsible for bad taste and odor.
Outer sediment layer traps dirt, rust, sand, and particulates before they reach your faucets, shower, and water heater.
Threads into standard EVO housings by hand. No wrenches, no plumbing -- swap takes under two minutes.
The KDF/GAC combination targets a broad spectrum of water quality problems common across campgrounds, RV parks, and municipal hookups:
This cartridge is designed specifically for Camco EVO filter housings. It threads in by hand and seats with a positive stop -- no O-ring swap required in most cases. Always inspect the housing O-ring each time you change the cartridge and replace if cracked or compressed.
Camco recommends replacing the EVO cartridge every 3 months during active use or at the start of each camping season, whichever comes first. Replace sooner if you notice reduced flow rate, returning odor, or if you have been using a particularly poor-quality water source (sulfur wells, high-sediment sites). A clogged cartridge can restrict flow to your water pump and fixtures.
This is a filtration cartridge, not a water purifier. It reduces many contaminants but does not remove all pathogens, nitrates, or dissolved salts. If your water source is non-potable or of unknown safety, treat the water before filtering or use a separate purification method. Do not use with microbiologically unsafe water without additional treatment.
Designed for use with the Camco EVO Water Filter (Camco part 40621 and EVO Premium filter units). If you do not yet own an EVO housing, pair this cartridge with the appropriate Camco EVO housing to build a complete system. The EVO housing connects inline on your campground water hose using standard 3/4-inch GHT garden hose fittings.
