Bring your bikes along without giving up cargo space inside your RV. The Camco 51492 ladder-mount bike rack attaches directly to most standard RV ladders, holds two bikes securely in form-fit cradles, and folds flat when not in use. A single adjustable strap stabilizes both bikes on the road.
If you carry bikes on your RV, you already know the problem: hitch racks eat your receiver, trunk racks scratch paint, and standalone mounts require drilling. The Camco 51492 solves this by clamping directly to the vertical uprights of your existing rear ladder -- no drilling, no hitch required.
The rack is built from steel tubing finished in a silver and black powder coat. Form-fit cradles cup each bike frame to prevent shifting, and the included adjustable strap adds a second layer of restraint. When you arrive at your destination, the whole rack folds to a compact profile so it stays out of the way while you use the ladder normally.
Contoured cradle arms hold each bike frame firmly and reduce lateral movement on rough roads.
The 16.39" fold-down support collapses to a compact size when bikes are not loaded, keeping your ladder fully accessible.
Mounts to the ladder uprights using the existing rack hardware -- no permanent modifications to your RV.
Included strap cinches down across both bikes to prevent bounce and frame contact during travel.
The Camco 51492 is designed for most standard rear-mounted RV ladders. The critical fitment requirement is the spacing between the two vertical uprights of your ladder.
This rack is compatible with ladders found on Class A and Class C motorhomes, fifth wheels, and travel trailers that use a standard rear-entry style aluminum or steel ladder. It is not designed for roof-access ladders mounted on the front cap or sidewall of a unit.
The rack is rated to hold up to 60 lbs total across both bike positions. Most standard adult bicycles weigh between 20 and 30 lbs, so two typical bikes will fall within the limit. However, heavier e-bikes, cargo bikes, or full-suspension mountain bikes may approach or exceed the capacity limit -- weigh your bikes before loading.
The rack also accommodates many folding or standard outdoor chairs in the cradle positions, making it a versatile carrier for camp gear beyond just bikes.
The 51492 is designed for quick, tool-friendly installation and removal.
