Adapter that saddles the top rail of a pontoon's square full-height fence panel and allows a wrap-around rail mount (58182 or 58195) to attach where it otherwise couldn't. Adjusts 3/4" to 1.4". Allen key included. No drilling. Stainless steel and aluminum. Adapter only — rail mount required separately.
The Camco Kuuma 58197 is a pontoon-specific rail adapter that solves a mounting problem unique to modern pontoon boats: full-height fence paneling. Many newer pontoons have square rails with solid panels running all the way to the deck — a style that looks great but prevents standard wrap-around rail mounts (like the 58182 or 58195) from reaching around the rail to clamp on normally.
The 58197 adapter saddles over the top of the square rail from above and clamps securely in place with an Allen key — no drilling, no permanent installation. Once the adapter is in place, a standard 58182 or 58195 wrap-around rail mount attaches to it as normal, giving the mount a usable clamping surface above the panel. The adapter adjusts from 3/4" to 1.4" to fit the range of square top rail sizes found on pontoon boats. Stainless steel and aluminum construction for marine durability. The 58197 is the adapter only — a 58182 or 58195 rail mount is required and sold separately.
You need the 58197 if your pontoon boat has square rails with full-height solid fence panels running from the top rail down to the deck — the style that prevents a standard wrap-around mount from reaching around the rail to clamp on. You do not need the 58197 if your pontoon has: • Open railings with space between rails and deck • Round horizontal top rails accessible from below • Any rail the 58182/58195 can wrap around normally If unsure, check whether a standard rail mount can clamp around your top rail — if it can, the 58197 is unnecessary.
• 1x Camco Kuuma 58197 Pontoon Rail Adapter • 1x Allen key Required separately — choose one: • 58182 — Standard inboard/outboard rail mount • 58195 — Quick-release rail mount The 58197 adapter + 58182 or 58195 mount are used together as a two-piece assembly.
The 58197 is an adapter only — it does not mount a grill by itself. A 58182 or 58195 rail mount is required and sold separately to complete the installation. Order both if you don't already have a compatible Kuuma rail mount. Also note: the listing title's "1" to 2" rails" range is incorrect — the 58197 adjusts from 3/4" to 1.4".
