Window glass does almost nothing to stop radiant heat. Once sunlight enters your coach, it heats upholstery, flooring, and the air itself -- and your AC has to work overtime to catch up. The Camco SunShield addresses that problem directly by placing a reflective barrier at the window, bouncing radiant energy back outside before it can convert to interior heat.
The core of the SunShield is a layer of small, sealed air cells encapsulated in flexible polypropylene -- the same bubble-cell construction used in reflective house wrap insulation. Both outer faces are laminated with a bright silver reflective film. The result is a cover that reflects heat, provides a modest insulating dead-air layer, and blocks UV rays that cause fading and material degradation inside the coach.

The 50 in. wide by 26 in. tall format is sized for large coach windows commonly found in Class A and Class C motorhomes, as well as fifth-wheel front windows and larger slide-out windows on travel trailers. Measure your window opening before ordering -- the cover should overlap the frame slightly on all sides for the best seal and the most effective heat block.
The SunShield ships with Velcro pads for mounting. For best results, clean the window frame or surrounding wall surface with isopropyl alcohol before adhering the Velcro. Press the pad firmly and allow adhesive to cure for at least an hour before hanging the cover.
