CarCover Gold Shield 5L Class B -- 24 to 26 ft CarCover Gold Shield 5L Class B RV Cover -- 24 to 26 Feet (5RV-CB-2426)

A purpose-built, heavy-duty cover engineered for Class B motorhomes from 24 to 26 feet. The Gold Shield 5L layers a UV-resistant 5-ply top panel and 3-ply sides to block sun, rain, snow, hail, tree sap, and bird droppings -- while a breathable micro-porous film core lets trapped moisture vapor escape so mildew and rot never get a foothold.

All-Season Storage Protection Built for Class B Rigs

Class B motorhomes -- including van conversions, Sprinter-based coaches, and compact Type B builds -- have a low-profile roof line and tighter dimensions that generic covers never quite fit. The 5RV-CB-2426 is sized specifically for this footprint: cover measurements of 26.5 ft length x 7.08 ft width x 8.08 ft height hug the body without excess fabric bunching up and flapping in the wind.

The 5-layer top construction starts with an outer UV-resistant polypropylene shell, sandwiches a micro-porous breathable film, and finishes with soft inner layers that won't scratch paint or fiberglass. Side panels use a 3-layer build for crosswind and debris resistance. The extended top overhang drapes down the sides to close the gap that side-only panels miss during heavy rain runoff.

5-Ply Top Panel

UV-resistant polypropylene outer shell with micro-porous breathable film core blocks water in and lets vapor out -- no trapped condensation, no mildew.

3-Ply Side Panels

Heavy-duty tri-layer sides resist crosswinds, blowing debris, and rain runoff while remaining flexible enough for a snug fit along the body.

Zippered Access Panels

Reach doors, utility compartments, or basement storage without pulling the entire cover off -- a real advantage during partial trips or long-term storage checks.

Wind-Secure Buckle System

Adjustable weighted buckles cinch down loose fabric to stop wind billowing and prevent the fabric fatigue that destroys cheaper covers within one season.

Fabric and Construction Details

All seams use reinforced double stitching to hold up to repeated on/off cycles and long-term UV exposure. The cover weighs 25 lbs -- substantial enough to stay put in wind but still manageable for one person to install solo with the weighted buckle system doing the heavy work at the bottom.

  • Outer layer: UV-resistant polypropylene -- blocks over 98% of dirt and dust penetration
  • Core layer: micro-porous breathable film -- allows moisture vapor to escape while blocking liquid water entry
  • Inner layer: soft non-scratch finish -- safe against fiberglass, painted panels, and decals
  • Reinforced double stitching at all seams and stress points
  • Ladder cap protects fabric from sharp ladder edges
  • Gutter covers prevent tearing from rain gutter edges
  • Sun-reflective gray fabric helps reduce interior heat buildup during warm-season storage
Breathable by Design -- The micro-porous film is the critical difference between a cover that protects and one that traps moisture. Condensation that forms under an airtight cover causes the same mildew and paint damage you were trying to prevent. The Gold Shield 5L lets vapor escape while keeping rain out.

Fit and Installation

Elasticized hems at the front and rear corners pull snug around the nose and tail of the coach, reducing shifting during parking or light movement. The adjustable buckle system spans the underside to remove slack and keep the cover from riding up or billowing in gusts. No tools are required for installation.

  • Elasticized front and rear corners for corner-hugging fit
  • Adjustable buckle straps run under the coach to cinch the cover down
  • Extended top overhang adds side coverage for rain runoff
  • Reflective panels on the cover improve low-light visibility in driveways and campsites
  • Quick no-tools installation -- typical setup time under 20 minutes for one person
AC Unit Clearance -- The cover is designed to accommodate up to three rooftop air conditioning units. Confirm your AC units do not exceed the 8.08 ft height profile before ordering. If your rig has a raised roof conversion or aftermarket high-profile AC, measure overall height first.

Long-Term Storage Use

The Gold Shield 5L is engineered for seasonal and long-term outdoor storage, not just trailering. The UV-blocking outer layer protects against paint fade, fiberglass oxidation, dashboard cracking, and upholstery bleaching that accumulate over months of sun exposure. The breathable core prevents the moisture trapping that causes soft-wall delamination and wood rot in frame members.

Maintenance Tip -- Rinse the cover with fresh water and allow it to dry fully before storing it in the included bag. Folding a wet cover shortens fabric life and can promote mildew in the storage bag itself. The included patch kit handles small tears before they spread.

Protecting your RV with a quality cover is essential for maintaining its value and longevity. RVs are significant investments that are often exposed to harsh weather conditions, making them susceptible to damage from corrosion, mold, and UV rays. Unlike standard vehicles, RVs serve as mobile homes for many, and a cover can provide added insulation and privacy, enhancing your comfort while protecting against the elements. By investing in an RV cover, you reduce wear and tear, ensuring that your RV remains in excellent condition for years to come.

How To Measure Your RV:

Length: Measure the longest two points from the front to the rear of RV, including bumpers, spare tire, and ladder.

Height: Measure the highest point of the RV sidewalls from the top of the roof down to the outside frame, excluding ground clearance, roof-mounted accessories, vents, and A/C units. With Class B vans, be sure to include bubble height which is taken by measuring from the very top of the van to the natural roofline of the van.

How to Install Your RV Cover:

1. Identify the front of the cover by locating the "Front" tag on the interior.
2.
Lay the cover lengthwise on the ground, inside out, with the exterior facing up.
3.
Fold the sides toward the center and roll the cover from the rear, leaving the front end loose.
4.
Position the rolled cover at the rear of the RV near the ladder.
5.
Loosen the roll slightly, then climb the ladder while holding the front end.
6.
Pull the cover onto the roof gradually until you have a strip covering the entire roof.
7.
Starting at the front, unfold the cover side to side, letting it drape down the sides as you move to the rear.
8.
Ensure the corner opposite the ladder is positioned under the cover’s corner.
9.
Climb down while bringing the cover down with you, then adjust the cover as needed.

Removal:

1. Undo all straps and zippers on the cover.
2.
Lift the front of the cover to the top of the RV.
3.
Pull the cover down from the rear.

For Cleaning:

Proper care of your RV cover is essential for maintaining its performance and water resistance. Contaminants like dirt and grease can damage the cover, so regular washing is recommended for long-lasting protection.

You can wash the cover by hand or in a washing machine. For hand washing, install the cover on your RV, rinse it with a hose, then use a cloth and multi-purpose cleaner to scrub. Rinse again and either towel dry or let it air dry.

For machine washing, use the largest machine available, set it to gentle mode, and wash with mild powder detergent in cold water—avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Rinse the cover twice to remove all detergent, and always air dry.
