Give your RV a fresh look and full UV protection with a factory-quality replacement awning fabric from Carefree of Colorado. The JU168C00 installs into most standard roller-tube awning systems and features Carefree's integrated Weatherguard edge to shield the rolled fabric from sun, scrapes, and road grime every mile you travel.
Worn, faded, or cracked awning fabric isn't just an eyesore -- it lets UV through, holds moisture, and eventually fails structurally. The JU168C00 restores your slideout or entry awning to like-new condition with a 13.5 oz heavyweight vinyl that is built to handle seasons of sun, wind, and rain.
The double-sided Teal Dune Stripe pattern runs all the way through the valance and the main canopy as a single seamless piece, so the awning looks clean and coordinated whether it is fully extended or partially open. The smaller repeating stripe pattern is proportioned to complement the exterior graphics of most modern RVs without overwhelming them.
White vinyl Weatherguard strip protects the outer edge of the rolled fabric from UV exposure, road debris, and scraping during travel.
Valance and main canopy are a single uniform piece -- no seam at the fold line, giving a cleaner look when fully extended.
Fabric attaches to the roller tube via two polyrods seated in two separate slots, keeping the fabric aligned and secure under load.
Fits most A&E, Carter, Carefree, Dometic, Faulkner, and Norseman roller-tube awning systems with standard polyrod slots.
Getting the right fabric length is the single most important step. Do not measure the existing fabric. Instead, measure the awning width from the center of the right arm mounting point to the center of the left arm mounting point. That measurement is your awning size.
15 ft 2 in fabric is designed for 16 ft awning arm spans. The fabric installs approximately 5 in short on each side (10 in total shorter than the full arm-to-arm measurement). This is normal and intentional -- it prevents the fabric edges from binding against the hardware during operation.
If your arm-to-arm measurement is 16 ft (192 in), this is the correct replacement. If your measurement is different, select the corresponding JU-series part number that matches your actual awning width.
The JU168C00 ships with everything needed for a standard DIY replacement:
The fabric is single-hemmed with traditional fabric thread and uses a standard polyrod cord diameter compatible with most OEM roller tube slot widths. No special tools beyond the included spline tool are required for most installations. Two people are recommended when handling a fabric this size.
Double-sided pattern: The Teal Dune Stripe design is visible from both the top and the underside of the canopy, so the awning looks finished whether guests are standing outside or relaxing under it.
At 13.5 oz per square yard, this is a commercial-weight vinyl fabric -- noticeably heavier and more puncture-resistant than economy aftermarket options. The vinyl construction sheds rain cleanly, resists mildew buildup, and holds color better than woven acrylic in high-UV environments. It does not breathe like acrylic, which means water rolls off rather than wicking through -- a practical advantage for frequent travelers who do not always have time to let the awning dry before rolling it up.
Maintenance tip: Before rolling the awning for travel, allow the fabric to air-dry when possible. If you must roll wet vinyl, unroll it at your next stop to prevent mildew from developing at the fold lines. Clean with mild soap and water -- avoid petroleum-based solvents.
Backed by a limited 1-year manufacturer warranty from Carefree of Colorado against defects in materials and workmanship.
Shipping note: Due to the rolled dimensions of this fabric, it ships ground only. Priority, expedited, and express shipping options are not available for this item. Plan accordingly if you have a scheduled trip.
