The Chevy/Workhorse P30 and P32 chassis featured an independent coil spring front suspension - different from the Ford F53 or later Workhorse W series. Weigh under normal traveling conditions: • Full fuel tank • Full water tanks (or typical travel level) • Normal number of passengers • Typical cargo and supplies Where to weigh: Find a CAT Scale location or ask your RV service center if they can weigh your coach. We match springs to ACTUAL front axle weight, not GAWR: The GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Rating) on your sticker is the MAXIMUM your axle can handle - not your actual weight. Ordering based on GAWR instead of actual weight will result in springs that are too stiff for your coach. Round to nearest 100 lbs: If your front axle weighs 6,275 lbs, order the 6,300 lb springs. If your front axle weighs 6,225 lbs, order the 6,200 lb springs.
Professional Alignment Required: After installing new coil springs, you MUST have a professional alignment performed. The new springs will change your ride height and suspension geometry, affecting alignment.
