The Mach 3 Plus EZ is a no-compromise rooftop cooler built for the demands of RV life. With 13,500 nominal BTU cooling capacity, a high-efficiency raised lance-fin coil design, and 320 CFM of airflow, it keeps your rig comfortable even when temperatures climb. The EZ designation reflects its simplified installation and service access -- a practical choice for owner-installers and dealers alike.
Coleman Mach has been the benchmark for RV rooftop air conditioners for decades, and the Mach 3 Plus EZ carries that reputation forward. The unit is designed to drop into any standard 14 x 14 in. roof opening -- the most common cutout dimension in travel trailers, fifth wheels, Class A, B, and C motorhomes -- making it a direct replacement for most aging or failed rooftop units without structural modification.
The raised lance-fin evaporator and condenser coils increase surface area for more efficient heat exchange, so the compressor works less hard to deliver the same (or better) comfort. The result is faster cooldown times and more consistent cabin temperatures compared to older flat-fin designs.
Nominal cooling capacity suitable for RVs up to approximately 30-35 ft. depending on insulation and climate.
High-volume blower moves conditioned air efficiently through the interior ceiling assembly.
Enhanced coil geometry increases heat-transfer surface area for better efficiency and faster cool-down.
Simplified top-access design reduces time for routine service and refrigerant checks by qualified technicians.
The Mach 3 Plus EZ is designed for the industry-standard 14 x 14 in. (14.25 x 14.25 in. actual cutout) roof opening used on the vast majority of travel trailers, fifth wheels, and motorhomes built after the mid-1980s. No roof modification needed in most cases -- bolt-down footprint matches existing mounting hole patterns.
If your current rooftop unit is more than 8-10 years old, leaking refrigerant, losing BTUs, or simply noisy, the Mach 3 Plus EZ offers a direct-replacement upgrade path. The Arctic White finish matches factory trim on most RV manufacturers' standard exteriors. The unit ships as a complete rooftop assembly -- just add a compatible ceiling assembly (air distribution box) if your existing unit is not compatible or if you are doing a complete system swap.
This listing is for the rooftop condenser/evaporator unit only. A matching ceiling assembly (air distribution box) is required for complete installation and is sold separately. Ceiling assemblies, control kits, thermostat kits, and start capacitor kits are available from Coleman Mach and are not included in this package. Verify ceiling assembly compatibility before ordering.
Installation follows standard Coleman Mach rooftop AC procedure: remove the old shroud and rooftop unit, clean the roof gasket surface, set the new unit with the supplied foam gasket seal, and torque the four corner bolts to spec. The electrical connection is a standard 120V 15A or 20A circuit -- most existing RV roof AC wiring is compatible without modification. A start capacitor (hard-start kit) is recommended if the unit will operate frequently on a generator with limited surge capacity.
