The Dinosaur Electronics 41-0048 (SKU 80-8713) is a purpose-built 24V AC fan control ignitor board designed specifically for park model furnaces. It replaces failed OEM control boards with a proven, fuse-protected design that features intelligent 3-try ignition logic, automatic retry sequencing, and a bi-color LED for at-a-glance diagnostics -- making troubleshooting and installation straightforward for technicians and confident DIYers alike.
Park model furnaces run on 24V AC control circuits, and the Dinosaur Electronics 41-0048 is engineered specifically for that environment. Unlike 12V DC boards used in mobile RV applications, this board is designed to work with the AC power distribution found in park model and seasonal cabin setups where shore power is always available.
The board's ignition sequencing logic is conservative and safety-conscious. On each call for heat, it attempts ignition up to three times. If the flame sensor does not detect a successful ignition on the third try, the board shuts the fan motor down after 90 seconds (one and a half minutes) to prevent unburned gas from accumulating. After locking out, the board waits one full hour before attempting the ignition cycle again automatically -- reducing nuisance lockouts while still protecting the system. A full reset can also be triggered by cycling the thermostat.
A single bi-color LED gives you instant board status feedback. The LED illuminates green when power is present on the AIR terminal (fan circuit energized). It switches to red when power is applied to the valve terminal, confirming the gas valve is being commanded open. This makes it easy to trace ignition sequence faults without a meter.
Designed exclusively for 24V AC park model furnace control circuits -- not for 12V DC mobile RV furnaces.
Attempts ignition three times before shutting the fan off 90 seconds after the third failed try, protecting the heat exchanger and gas system.
Onboard fuse protects the board and connected components from overcurrent damage during fault conditions.
After a lockout, the board waits one hour and retries the full ignition cycle automatically. Thermostat reset also clears the lockout.
If your park model furnace is failing to ignite, cycling on and off, or showing no response from the control board, the 41-0048 is a direct drop-in replacement that restores normal operation. The compact 3.43 x 5.10 inch board mounts in the same footprint as the OEM unit in most park model furnace control compartments. Always verify your existing furnace control voltage is 24V AC before ordering.
This board is rated for 24V AC control circuits only. Park model furnaces typically use 24VAC, but some older or converted units may use 12V DC. Installing a 24VAC board on a 12VDC furnace circuit will damage the board. Confirm your existing board's voltage rating before purchasing.
