Replace or upgrade a worn, missing, or incomplete sway control bracket on your Equal-i-zer weight-distribution hitch. This complete pocketed sway bracket mounts to the trailer tongue and provides a solid connection point for the spring bar, creating steel-on-steel friction that actively resists trailer sway. Everything you need is in the box -- no hunting for a separate pin, clip, or bracket jacket.
Trailer sway is one of the most dangerous conditions an RV driver can encounter. The Equal-i-zer hitch system addresses sway through integrated spring bar geometry, and the sway control bracket is the critical link between the trailer frame and the spring bar. When this bracket is worn, loose, or missing a component, the entire sway-resistance function is compromised.
Part 94-6307 is a direct replacement for the pocketed sway bracket used on Equal-i-zer 4-point sway control hitches rated from 6,000 to 14,000 lbs. It fits trailer A-frame tongues with 3", 4", 5", or 6" frame widths -- covering the vast majority of travel trailers and fifth-wheel goosenecks that use this hitch family.
Fits 3", 4", 5", and 6" trailer tongue frames so one bracket covers most trailer A-frame sizes.
Includes L-bracket, L-pin with retaining clip, inner link plate, outer link plate, and all necessary hardware.
Spring bar engagement creates direct metal contact that resists trailer sway without relying on friction balls or separate sway bars.
Manufactured in the United States to Equal-i-zer's production standards. Backed by a 90-day limited manufacturer warranty.
The pocketed design means the spring bar head seats into a formed pocket in the bracket rather than resting on a friction pad or ball. When the spring bar is loaded and lifted into position, the pocket geometry locks the bar in place and transfers lateral forces directly into the bracket and trailer frame. This is the defining feature of the Equal-i-zer 4-point sway control system and is what differentiates it from a conventional weight-distribution head with a bolt-on sway bar.
This kit includes every component that typically wears, gets lost, or corrodes on the sway bracket assembly: the L-bracket body, L-pin, retaining clip, and both link plates. If your current bracket is missing any one of these, replacing the full assembly is the fastest path back to a safe, functional hitch.
This bracket is designed for one side of the trailer tongue. The Equal-i-zer hitch uses two sway control brackets -- one per spring bar. If both sides need replacement, order two units (part 94-6307 x 2). The spring bars themselves are sold separately and are not included with this bracket.
This listing covers the sway control bracket and hardware kit only. Spring bars, the hitch head, ball mount shank, and mounting hardware for the hitch head are all sold separately. Verify your current spring bar part number before ordering to ensure bracket and bar compatibility within the Equal-i-zer system.
Part 94-6307 is designed for use with Equal-i-zer 4-point sway control hitches in the 6,000 to 14,000 lb gross trailer weight (GTW) range. This covers Equal-i-zer hitch heads sold under part numbers in the EQ series (e.g., EQ90-00-0600 through EQ90-00-1400 family). If you own a lighter-duty Equal-i-zer hitch (under 6K GTW) or a hitch from a different manufacturer, confirm compatibility before ordering.
This product is also referenced as Equal-i-zer part number 95-01-5600 in some catalog listings. Both numbers refer to the same complete sway control bracket kit. SKU on this listing: 94-6307.
The sway control bracket mounts to the trailer tongue A-frame using the included link plates and hardware. The L-pin secures the spring bar in the pocket and is retained by the included clip. No lubrication is required for initial installation -- the steel-on-steel contact is intentional. Torque all fasteners to the values specified in the Equal-i-zer hitch owner's manual for your hitch model.
