The snap-up lever is used each time you engage your weight distribution hitch. Here's the general sequence: 1. Connect to Trailer: Lower the trailer coupler onto the hitch ball and lock the coupler latch 2. Position Spring Arms: Insert the spring arms (trunnion bars) into the hitch head sockets and pin them in place 3. Hook Lever onto Spring Arm: Insert the hooked end of the snap-up lever under the spring arm near the end 4. Lift Spring Arm onto Bracket: Using the lever as a fulcrum, push down on the handle end to lift the spring arm up and onto the sway control bracket on the trailer frame 5. Secure with L-Pin: Once the spring arm is seated in the bracket, secure it with the L-pin and clip 6. Repeat for Other Side: Repeat steps 3–5 for the spring arm on the opposite side To disengage, reverse the process — remove the L-pin, use the lever to lift the spring arm off the bracket, and lower it out of the bracket before removing it from the hitch head.
