Designed for 2-1/2" receivers, it provides a 4-1/2" drop and 4-1/2" rise, making it a strong fit for HD trucks and trailers that need moderate height correction without stepping up to the taller 7-1/2" drop model.
This model combines the convenience of height adjustment with the higher towing capacity needed for heavy bumper-pull trailers. The reversible dual-ball platform lets you switch between 2" and 2-5/16" trailer couplers, while the stowable design rotates beneath the vehicle when not in use to help protect shins, tailgates, and garage doors. The Flash FORCE HD 67-00-7455 is a ball mount — it does not provide weight distribution or sway control. If tongue weight causes rear sag, steering lightness, braking concerns, or trailer sway, a weight distribution hitch may be the correct solution instead of a standard ball mount. Capacity depends on ball size: This model is rated up to 8,000 lb with the 2" ball and up to 18,000 lb with the 2-5/16" ball. Maximum tongue weight is 1,800 lb. Never exceed the lowest-rated component in your towing system, including the ball mount, hitch ball, receiver hitch, tow vehicle, and trailer.
The 67-00-7455 provides a 4-1/2" drop or 4-1/2" rise, making it best for HD tow vehicles and trailers with a moderate receiver-to-coupler height difference. Confirm your measurement before ordering. Step 1: Park the tow vehicle and trailer on level ground. Step 2: Measure from the ground to the inside top edge of the tow vehicle's receiver opening. Step 3: Measure from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler when the trailer is level. Step 4: Compare the two measurements. If the receiver is higher than the coupler, you need drop. If the coupler is higher than the receiver, you need rise. Example — Drop: Receiver at 23-1/2" and coupler at 19" = 4-1/2" drop → 67-00-7455 is the correct Flash FORCE HD size. Example — Rise: Coupler at 24" and receiver at 19-1/2" = 4-1/2" rise → 67-00-7455 is correct when used in rise orientation. If your required drop or rise is greater than 4-1/2", choose the larger 67-00-7675 Flash FORCE HD model.
Installation Steps: 1. Confirm Drop or Rise: Verify whether your setup needs up to 4-1/2" drop or up to 4-1/2" rise 2. Select Ball Size: Use the 2" or 2-5/16" ball that matches your trailer coupler 3. Set Ball Height: Adjust the ball platform to the correct height and secure it with the adjustment pins 4. Insert into Receiver: Slide the shank into your 2-1/2" hitch receiver in the correct orientation 5. Secure the Mount: Install the appropriate hitch pin or locking pin for your receiver 6.
