The B&W Tow and Stow TS10049C puts three chrome ball sizes on a single adjustable shank, folds away when not in use, and handles everything from small utility trailers to large fifth-wheel-capable bumper pulls -- all without tools.

The B&W Tow and Stow series is one of the most recognized adjustable ball mount families in the towing aftermarket, and the TS10049C is the triple-ball, chrome-finish variant built for RV owners and truck drivers who tow multiple trailers with different coupler sizes. The shank adjusts to deliver a 10-inch drop or rise, making it ideal for lifted trucks or tow vehicles sitting significantly higher than the trailer coupler.

All three ball sizes -- 1-7/8 inch, 2 inch, and 2-5/16 inch -- are permanently mounted and chrome-plated. Rotate the head to the ball size you need, lock it, and go. When the hitch is not in use, the ball head folds up tight against the shank so it does not drag the ground, catch on anything, or become a shin hazard in the garage.

Three Balls, Always Ready

Chrome 1-7/8", 2", and 2-5/16" balls are permanently attached. Rotate to the correct size and lock -- no wrenches, no carrying spare balls in the truck bed.

10-Inch Drop or Rise

The shank adjusts to a full 10 inches of drop or rise, accommodating lifted trucks, taller tow vehicles, and a wide range of trailer tongue heights.

Folds Flat When Not Towing

The TS10049C is specifically the triple-ball, 10-inch, chrome variant. If you need less drop, B&W offers shorter-drop triple-ball versions. If you only need two ball sizes, the dual-ball models in the same series are lighter. The TS10049C is the top-of-range option for maximum coupler compatibility and maximum height adjustment in one unit.

Best For: RV owners who tow a travel trailer with a 2-5/16" coupler most of the time but also move a boat, utility trailer, or car hauler with a smaller ball -- without wanting a garage full of ball mounts.

Fitment and Receiver Compatibility

The TS10049C is designed for standard 2-inch square hitch receivers (Class III, Class IV, and most Class V applications). The shank inserts into the receiver tube and is secured with a standard 5/8-inch hitch pin or receiver lock (not included -- sold separately). It is not designed for 1-1/4-inch receivers.

Weight Ratings Note: Always verify the weight rating of the specific ball position you are using against the gross trailer weight (GTW) and tongue weight (TW) of your trailer. Ball mount weight ratings vary by drop setting -- maximum rated capacity is typically achieved at lower drop positions. Refer to the B&W capacity chart for the TS10049C at your specific drop configuration.

Installation and Use Tips

Setup Tips:

Measure the height difference between your hitch receiver opening and the trailer coupler before selecting drop -- you want the coupler level or very slightly nose-down when loaded.
Torque your hitch ball nuts to B&W spec if they are ever removed -- the balls on the Tow and Stow are designed to stay permanently attached, but inspect periodically for tightness.
Apply a light wipe of grease or anti-seize to the shank before inserting into the receiver to prevent galvanic binding, especially in wet or salt-road conditions.
A receiver lock is strongly recommended -- the TS10049C is a premium mount and a theft target. B&W and several aftermarket brands offer matching 5/8-inch receiver locks.
Fold the ball head up when driving without a trailer to protect the balls and maintain ground clearance.

Important Information -- Read Before Towing

Always verify the rated capacity of this ball mount at your specific drop setting before towing. Weight ratings decrease as drop increases -- confirm GTW and TW are within the rated limits for your configuration.
Do not exceed the tow vehicle manufacturer's tow rating or hitch receiver rating, regardless of the ball mount capacity.
The 5/8-inch hitch pin is NOT included. Do not tow without a properly installed and secured hitch pin or locking hitch pin.
Inspect the folding lock mechanism, ball tightness, and shank adjustment hardware before every trip. Loose components under load can cause trailer separation.
This mount fits 2-inch receivers ONLY. Do not attempt to use in 1-1/4-inch receivers with an adapter under tow load unless the adapter is independently rated for the load.
Not intended for fifth-wheel or gooseneck towing -- for bumper-pull trailers with standard couplers only.
