Stop pulling vent caps and guessing water levels. The BG-U24V-7A replaces your existing 6V Trojan Plus battery vent caps with automatic shut-off valves interconnected by Flow-Rite 127 flex manifold tubing -- fill all four batteries simultaneously from a single fill point, every time, without overfilling or spilling a drop.
Proper electrolyte levels are one of the most critical -- and most neglected -- maintenance tasks for flooded lead-acid deep-cycle batteries. Overfilling dilutes electrolyte and causes corrosion. Underfilling exposes plates and permanently reduces capacity. The Flow-Rite Pro-Fill system removes guesswork entirely by using float-based automatic shut-off valves that stop flow the instant each cell reaches the correct level.
The BG-U24V-7A is specifically configured for a 24V battery bank made up of four 6V Trojan Plus series batteries wired in series. The kit ships pre-cut with the 127 flex manifold tubing lengths and fittings sized for the standard Trojan Plus cell spacing, so installation typically requires no cutting or custom fitting.
Float-actuated valves stop water flow at the correct electrolyte level in every cell -- no monitoring required.
Pre-configured flexible manifold connects all cells so every battery fills from one external port simultaneously.
Designed specifically for 6V Trojan Plus series deep-cycle batteries -- valves thread directly into standard Trojan fill ports.
Sealed system prevents acid splash and overfill. Reduces corrosion risk at battery terminals and tray.
Each automatic shut-off valve replaces an existing vent cap on the battery. Inside the valve, a float rises with the electrolyte level. When the correct level is reached, the float seals the inlet and stops flow -- even if you continue holding the fill hose open. Because all valves are interconnected by the manifold tubing, water distributes to whichever cells need it most, then stops automatically when all cells are full.
To fill your battery bank, simply connect a water source (distilled water is recommended) to the single external fill port, apply low pressure or a hand-pump bulb, and wait for flow to stop. The entire process typically takes under two minutes for a moderately depleted bank.
The BG-U24V-7A installs without tools in most applications. Remove the existing vent caps from each cell, thread in the Pro-Fill auto shut-off valves (they use the same thread pattern as standard Trojan vent caps), connect the pre-cut 127 flex manifold tubing between valves per the included diagram, and route the single fill hose to an accessible location outside the battery compartment. The fill port can be mounted to a panel or left as a capped hose end.
