Flow-Rite 8V US Batteries Pro-Fill System BA-6FT-7A Pro-Fill Manifold With Valves -- 8V US Batteries, 2.5" Cell Spacing

Pre-assembled, flexible watering manifold engineered for 8V US batteries (non-Trojan) with 2.5" cell spacing center-to-center. Drop the T-fittings into the valves and your single-point battery watering system is operational -- no cutting, no measuring individual cells.

Single-Point Watering for 8V US Golf Cart and RV Batteries

The Flow-Rite BA-6FT-7A is a purpose-built manifold for the Pro-Fill single-point battery watering system. It is dimensioned specifically for 8V US-brand batteries (non-Trojan) where cell caps are spaced 2.5" center-to-center. The manifold length is 6 inches, sized to bridge the cells on a single 8V battery.

Valves come pre-installed on the manifold. Installation is straightforward: remove the existing vent caps, press the Pro-Fill valve T-fittings into each cell opening, snap the manifold into place, and connect it to the rest of your Pro-Fill tubing network. No permanent modifications to the battery are required.

The flexible construction lets the manifold conform to minor alignment differences between cells and batteries, reducing stress on the valve seats and fittings over the life of the system. Color coding -- black body, red accents -- follows the Pro-Fill system convention for quick visual identification during service checks.

Pre-Installed Valves

Valves arrive mounted on the manifold -- no separate assembly step before install.

2.5" Cell Spacing

Matched precisely to 8V US battery cell cap center-to-center spacing for a secure fit.

Flexible Manifold Body

Semi-flexible construction absorbs minor misalignment and reduces valve stress during installation.

Part of the Pro-Fill Ecosystem

Connects directly to Flow-Rite Pro-Fill tubing, fittings, and pump systems -- no adapters needed.

Why Single-Point Watering?

Deep-cycle flooded lead-acid batteries in RVs, golf carts, and floor scrubbers require regular water top-offs -- often every 1 to 4 weeks under heavy use. A Pro-Fill manifold system connects all cells to a single fill point, so you water an entire battery bank in seconds rather than uncapping and filling each of the 16 to 24 individual cells one by one. It also reduces the risk of overfilling, which dilutes electrolyte and shortens battery life.

Fitment Note -- US Battery vs. Trojan

This manifold is sized for US Battery brand 8V batteries, which use a 2.5" cell cap spacing. Trojan 8V batteries use a different cell spacing and require a different Flow-Rite manifold SKU. Do not mix manifolds between battery brands -- an incorrect spacing will prevent the valves from seating properly and can result in leaks or no-fill conditions.

Building a Complete Pro-Fill System

The BA-6FT-7A manifold with valves is the per-battery component of a larger Pro-Fill installation. A complete system typically includes:

  • One BA-series manifold with valves per battery (this item)
  • Pro-Fill interconnect tubing to link batteries in the bank
  • A single fill point or quick-connect fitting accessible from outside the battery compartment
  • Optional: Flow-Rite hand pump or gravity-feed water source

If you are outfitting a bank of four 8V US batteries, you need four of this manifold.

Flooded Lead-Acid Batteries Only

Pro-Fill manifold systems are designed exclusively for flooded (wet cell) lead-acid batteries. Do not use with sealed AGM, gel, or lithium batteries -- those types are maintenance-free and do not have accessible fill cells.

Maintenance Tips

  • Inspect valve seats and manifold connections at each watering cycle for cracks or residue buildup.
  • Always water batteries after a full charge cycle -- water added before charging can cause electrolyte overflow as the battery gasses.
  • Use distilled or deionized water only. Tap water minerals accelerate plate corrosion.
  • If a valve fails to shut off (overfill), replace the individual valve rather than the entire manifold.

Important Information

  • Battery brand matters: This manifold fits US Battery 8V only. Trojan 8V batteries require a different manifold -- cell spacing is not the same between brands.
  • Flooded lead-acid only: Not for use with AGM, gel, or lithium battery types.
  • This is a per-battery component: One manifold is required for each 8V battery in your bank. Order quantity accordingly.
  • System components sold separately: Interconnect tubing, fill point fittings, and pumps are not included and must be purchased to complete a functional Pro-Fill installation.
  • Water after charging: Always top off water levels after a full charge cycle, not before, to prevent electrolyte overflow and dilution.
  • Use distilled water only: Tap or well water introduces minerals that accelerate battery plate degradation.
