The kit is dimensioned specifically for batteries with 2.3-inch center-to-center cell spacing, which matches common Trojan T-875, T-890, and similar 8V flooded lead-acid models.

Flooded lead-acid batteries lose water during every charge cycle. Letting plates go dry -- even briefly -- causes permanent sulfation damage and dramatically shortens battery life. Regular, correct-level watering is the single most impactful maintenance task for 6V, 8V, and 12V flooded batteries. The Pro-Fill system makes that task fast enough that it actually gets done.
This kit is configured for standard Trojan 8V batteries with 2.3-inch cell spacing. Trojan T-875 and T-890 batteries are the most common applications. Before ordering, measure your battery's center-to-center distance between adjacent cell vent openings. If your spacing differs, Flow-Rite offers other pre-configured kits. The "Universal" designation means the valve bodies fit a wide range of vent opening diameters -- not that the tubing lengths are field-adjustable for any spacing.
This system is designed exclusively for flooded (wet cell) lead-acid batteries that require periodic electrolyte top-off with distilled water. Do NOT use with AGM, gel, lithium, or sealed VRLA batteries -- those chemistries require no water addition and have no serviceable vent openings.
