Featuring the innovative "EZ Install" control box design, the RARMN1A allows the control unit to be mounted directly to the ceiling assembly, creating a hands-free electrical connection installation that eliminates complex hand-wiring. The manual control system uses an 8-position rotary switch and variable thermostat control, providing straightforward operation without requiring a separate wall thermostat. Conveniently placed control knobs on the horizontal surface ensure easy access for temperature and fan speed adjustments.

Non-Ducted vs. Ducted Systems - Which Is Right For You? Non-Ducted Systems (RARMN1A): Deliver cooled air directly into the RV living space through the ceiling assembly vents. Best for: smaller RVs, single-room cooling, installations where running ductwork is impractical, retrofits in older RVs, situations where minimal modification is desired. Air discharge is concentrated near the ceiling unit location. Ducted Systems (RARED1A): Distribute cooled air through ductwork to multiple ceiling vents throughout the RV. Best for: larger RVs, multi-room cooling, new construction where ductwork can be planned, situations requiring even temperature distribution throughout the entire RV. Install compatible rooftop AC unit (ARC or PLC series) per manufacturer instructions 2. Create ceiling opening for RARMN1A assembly in desired interior location 3. Run electrical wiring from rooftop AC unit to ceiling assembly location 4. Mount RARMN1A ceiling assembly using baffle retention plates 5. Connect control box to ceiling assembly using EZ Install mounting system 6. Connect electrical wiring between rooftop unit and ceiling assembly control box 7. Secure all electrical connections and verify proper termination 8. Install ceiling assembly trim and verify flush mounting 9. Test system operation in all fan speeds and cooling modes 10. Adjust vent outlets for optimal airflow distribution Operating Tips For Optimal Performance: • Start system on low fan speed, then increase if needed • In very hot conditions, set thermostat to coolest setting until temperature drops • Adjust side outlet vents to direct airflow away from direct seating areas • Keep main outlet open for maximum airflow in most situations • Use fan-only mode for air circulation without cooling • Ensure adequate exterior airflow around rooftop unit (keep rooftop clear of debris) Maintenance & Care: • Clean or replace rooftop AC unit filter monthly during heavy use • Wipe ceiling assembly vents with damp cloth to remove dust • Inspect vent outlets for obstruction or damage periodically • Check that all vent controls move freely and seal properly when closed • If cooling performance decreases, check rooftop unit filter and exterior coils • Have system professionally serviced if you notice unusual noises, weak airflow, or poor cooling Power Requirements: The RARMN1A is rated for 115V / 20A / 60Hz operation.
