The Cummins Onan 191-2416 is the OEM-specified replacement starter motor for the Emerald (BGE/BGEL, NHE/NHEL) and Marquis (NHM) generator families, as well as the older BGD/BGDL and NHD/NHDL series. It is a 12-volt permanent magnet direct drive (PMDD) starter with a 16-tooth drive gear and counterclockwise rotation — designed as a direct replacement for several earlier Onan starter part numbers.
The 191-2416 consolidates and supersedes four older starter part numbers: 191-2158, 191-2132, 191-1667, and 191-1630. Note that the drive end nose on the 191-2416 may appear slightly different from the original unit due to a design change — the mounting and electrical interface are unchanged.
