Quick links thread onto the chain end and the collar screws closed to create a secure connection point. They are required by law in several states as the method of attaching the chain to the towing vehicle's hitch or frame. 1/2" link diameter is the largest size in the JR Products quick link lineup, suited to heavier-duty chains on larger trailers.
