Wear tabs in a slide-out inner tube assembly are consumable parts. Over time -- through thousands of extension and retraction cycles, road vibration, and seasonal temperature swings -- these tabs wear down, allowing the inner tube to shift and rattle, and eventually scoring the tube surface or damaging the slide mechanism itself.
The Lippert 277882 is a direct replacement tab spec'd to the same 1.5" outer diameter and 0.58" height as the original. Replacing worn tabs during routine maintenance is far less expensive than repairing or replacing a bent inner tube, a damaged slide motor, or a compromised slide seal.
