The Lippert SolidStep is a manual fold-down two-step entry system built for travel trailers with doorways from 29 to 36 inches wide. Black powder-coated steel construction with aluminum treads and rubber grip strips provides a stable, no-bounce platform that stays parallel to the ground, whether you are parked on a level pad or uneven terrain. When you pull out, the entire assembly folds and stores inside the entryway, keeping road grime, rocks, and corrosion away from the treads until you need them again.
Most factory-installed fold-down steps flex, bounce, or corrode within a few seasons. The SolidStep eliminates flex with a rigid steel frame, two safety latches on both sides of the unit, and a kickplate that protects your sidewall and skirt from contact damage. The adjustable leg extensions let you dial in the height on ground that isn't perfectly flat, so the steps always land solidly instead of rocking.
Installation uses existing door hardware and mounts to either wood or laminate floors with the included mounting screws. No custom fabrication is needed for most trailer applications.

Two safety latches, one on each side of the unit, lock the assembly securely in the stored position so it cannot deploy unexpectedly while driving.
A kickplate is integrated into the design to prevent the step assembly from scuffing or denting your trailer's sidewall or skirt when folding.
The SolidStep installs into your existing door hardware bracket location. Mounting screws for both wood and laminate floor substrates are included. The bracket width is adjustable from 27-3/4 in. to 35-3/4 in. to fine-tune the fit within the 29-36 in. doorway range.
