Genuine OEM flange-to-tube exhaust adapter for QD and HQD Quiet Diesel RV generators. Bolts to the muffler flange — 1-3/8" O.D. tube, 7-1/8" length. Use with 1-1/2" O.D. tailpipe.
The Cummins Onan 155-2424 is a straight exhaust downtube adapter for the RV QD, HQD, and Quiet Diesel generator series. It bolts directly to the muffler outlet flange on the generator, and its 1-3/8" O.D. tube end accepts a 1-1/2" O.D. tailpipe slipped over it and clamped. This is the connection point between the fixed generator-side muffler and the installer-supplied exhaust tailpipe that routes exhaust out of the RV.
At 7-1/8" in length, this adapter provides a short downward stub below the generator — enough clearance to route a tailpipe bend and begin the horizontal run toward the RV sidewall exit.
Flange end mounts directly to the generator's muffler outlet flange — the fixed connection point on the QD/HQD side of the exhaust system
Tube end accepts a 1-1/2" O.D. tailpipe over it — matches the standard exhaust pipe size used on all QD and HQD series installations
Straight tube — drops vertically below the muffler flange to provide clearance for attaching a 90-degree tailpipe bend below the RV floor
OEM exhaust components maintain the certified spark-arresting system and preserve Cummins Onan warranty coverage on the generator
This listing is for the downtube adapter only. To complete the exhaust installation you will also need a 1-1/2" O.D. tailpipe (046-series) and a clamp (Onan 155-1015) to secure the tailpipe to this adapter's tube end.
The 155-2424 fits the QD and HQD Quiet Diesel generator families only. Gasoline and LP models use different downtube adapters — for example, HGJAA/HGJAB/HGJAC use a 1-3/8" O.D. flange-style elbow (A026E097 or 030-00072), and the HGJBB uses A041L816. Always confirm your generator model before ordering.
Backed by a 90-day limited manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Using non-OEM exhaust components voids Cummins Onan warranty coverage and transfers liability for resulting damage or injury to the installer.
