It charges, maintains, and actively desulfates all 12V lead-acid battery types -- flooded, AGM, sealed, VRLA, deep cycle, and lithium -- without risk of overcharge. Most basic chargers push a fixed amperage until you disconnect them. The 128CEC2 works differently. Its 7-stage charging algorithm continuously monitors battery condition and adjusts output automatically -- from initial analysis through long-term float maintenance. That means it can recover a deeply discharged battery just as effectively as it can maintain a fully charged one sitting in storage all winter.
Select your amperage and battery type with a simple push-button: 2 amps for a fully charged battery in maintenance mode, 4 amps for large deep-cycle or multi-battery setups, and 8 amps (Odyssey mode) for premium AGM and Odyssey batteries. The built-in temperature sensor automatically adjusts charge voltage across a range of -4F to 122F, so charge rate stays accurate in freezing winters and hot summer storage.
