Stop walking back inside your RV every time you need to extend or retract your awning. The Carefree 901604 adds Bluetooth smartphone control and wind-activated auto-retraction to any compatible 12V motorized Carefree awning -- no hardwired remote required. Pair it with the free Carefree Connects app on iOS or Android and manage your awning, LED lights, and motion sensitivity all from your phone, up to 50 feet away.
The 901604 is a retrofit upgrade kit, not a replacement awning. It installs into your existing 12V Carefree motorized awning wiring and adds a Bluetooth control module that communicates directly with the Carefree Connects smartphone app. Once installed, you can extend and retract the awning with a single button tap -- no fumbling for a wall switch, no going inside.
The included motion sensor monitors conditions and can automatically retract the awning when wind or movement thresholds are exceeded. You receive an instant push notification on your phone when auto-retraction triggers, so you always know the status of your awning even if you're away from your rig.
Extend or retract from up to 50 feet away using the free Carefree Connects app on any iOS or Android smartphone.
Built-in motion sensor detects high winds and retracts the awning automatically to protect it from damage.
Adjust the brightness of your Carefree LED awning lights or toggle them on and off directly from the app.
Tune the motion sensor sensitivity to suit your campsite conditions -- prevent nuisance retractions on calm days.
The 901604 works with any 12V Carefree motorized awning, including the Altitude, Longitude, Latitude, Eclipse, and Travel'r product lines. If your Carefree awning runs on 12V DC and has a motorized drive, this kit is designed to fit it.
Note: A Bluetooth handheld remote is not included with this kit. If you prefer a dedicated wireless remote in addition to app control, see the Carefree R001911 Wireless Remote (sold separately).
This system requires the Carefree Connects app, available as a free download from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. A compatible smartphone is required for full system operation. Bluetooth range is rated up to 50 feet under typical open-air conditions; walls and obstructions will reduce effective range.
The 901604 replaces or supplements the existing 12V switch wiring on your Carefree motorized awning. Installation instructions are specific to the 901602/901604 series control system. The BT module connects inline with the motor circuit. No additional power supply is needed -- the module draws power from the awning's existing 12V feed. Refer to the Carefree Wireless Awning Control System installation guide and mobile user guide for wiring diagrams specific to your awning model.
For users who want a physical push-button remote in addition to smartphone control, the Carefree R001911 Bluetooth Wireless Remote (SKU 01-0919) is designed to pair directly with this 901604 control system. The remote and the app can be used independently or together.
