Factory-matched replacement idler head for Solera Regal electric awnings. Restores proper awning operation on 12V, 18V, and Smart Arm configurations when the existing idler head is cracked, broken, or missing hardware. Sold individually, left-side placement when viewed from outside the RV.
The idler head is the non-motorized end of your electric awning arm assembly. It handles the structural load on the opposite side from the drive motor head, keeping the awning tube square and the fabric tracking correctly. A cracked or broken idler head causes sagging, fabric misalignment, and can prevent the awning from retracting fully -- leaving your rig exposed during travel.
Lippert part number 672052 is the correct OEM-specification replacement for Solera Regal-style idler heads. It is finished in black to match original Regal hardware and is sold as a single assembly. If your awning uses Regal-style heads, confirm your specific awning arm style (12V, 18V, or Smart Arm) before ordering -- this part covers all three electric configurations in the Regal head family.
Designed specifically for Solera Regal-style awning arms. Verify your existing head style matches before ordering.
Compatible with Solera 12V, 18V, and Smart Arm electric awning drive configurations.
Mounts on the left side of the awning as viewed from outside the RV, facing the rig. Confirm orientation before installing.
Black finish matches original Solera Regal hardware for a factory-correct appearance after replacement.
The 672052 idler head assembly replaces a damaged or worn Regal-style idler head on the non-drive side of compatible Solera electric awnings. It is the passive (non-motorized) head -- no wiring or motor connection is involved. If the drive head (motor side, right when viewed from outside) is damaged, a separate drive head assembly is required.
Stand outside your RV facing the awning. The drive (motor) head is on the right -- it houses the motor and has wiring. The idler head (this part) is on the left -- it has no motor and no wiring connections. Both heads must be in good condition for safe, reliable awning operation.
Solera awnings are produced with different head style families -- Regal, standard, and others. The head style is molded into the housing and is visually distinct. Check your existing idler head or your awning's original paperwork to confirm "Regal" before purchasing. Lippert's awning label (typically on the underside of the roller tube or on the arm itself) will list the model and head style.
