Fasco 115V / 3000 RPM Direct Replacement Fasco A182 Furnace Draft Inducer Blower Motor -- Replaces 7002-3036, Amana B4059000, Emerson 3105, Goodman

A direct-fit replacement draft inducer blower motor for Fasco, Emerson, Amana, and Goodman furnaces. Matches the original electrical specs, frame size, and terminal type so you can restore proper combustion airflow without custom wiring or fabrication. Also cataloged as NBK Parts 12176.

Keep Your Furnace Venting Safely and Efficiently

The draft inducer motor pulls combustion gases out of the heat exchanger and vents them safely through the flue before and during each burner cycle. When this motor fails -- or begins running slow, noisy, or intermittently -- your furnace may lock out on a pressure switch fault, fail to ignite, or worse, allow flue gases to back up into the living space.

This Fasco A182 unit is a factory-spec replacement built to the same C-frame shaded pole design as the original motors in these furnace families. At 3000 RPM and 1.5 amps draw on 115V single-phase power, it delivers the airflow the pressure switch expects.

Direct OEM-Match Specs

115V, 60 Hz, 1/35 HP, 1.5A, 3000 RPM -- matches original motor data plate so the pressure switch circuit closes normally.

C-Frame Shaded Pole Design

Standard C-frame body with 3.3 in. diameter shell. Shaded pole construction for reliable self-starting without a run capacitor.

Built-In Thermal Protection

Integrated thermal overload protects the winding if airflow is blocked or ambient temperature exceeds the rated 104 deg F / 40 deg C limit.

Sleeve Bearing Construction

Sleeve bearings provide quiet operation in the low-duty-cycle, intermittent-run profile typical of residential and light commercial furnace inducers.

What Is a Draft Inducer Motor?

Modern induced-draft furnaces use a sealed combustion blower -- the draft inducer -- mounted at the heat exchanger outlet. It runs for a short pre-purge cycle, trips the pressure switch to confirm airflow is established, and then stays on through the entire burner cycle. If the motor is weak, seized, or electrically open, the furnace control board will not allow ignition.

Replacing the motor (rather than the entire inducer assembly) is the standard repair when the housing, blower wheel, and wiring harness are undamaged. This Fasco A182 motor swaps directly into the existing housing on the affected Amana, Goodman, and compatible Fasco/Emerson-branded units.

Verified Replacement Models: This motor is confirmed to replace Fasco 7002-3036, Emerson 3105, Amana B4059000, Goodman 7002-3036, and Goodman B4059000. It is also sold and cataloged under NBK Parts number 12176.

Terminal and Wiring Notes

The motor uses 0.25 in. x 0.032 in. male quick-disconnect terminals, which match the standard push-on female connectors on the OEM wiring harness. No splicing or terminal crimping is required in a direct replacement application. Verify your harness connector size before ordering if you are unsure.

Single-Speed, Single-Phase: This is a single-speed shaded pole motor on 115V single-phase 60 Hz power. It is not compatible with variable-speed ECM furnace platforms or 230V applications.

Installation Overview

  • Disconnect power to the furnace at the breaker before beginning any work.
  • Label or photograph the existing wiring before disconnecting terminals.
  • Remove the inducer assembly access panel and unplug the motor leads.
  • Unbolt the motor from the inducer housing -- typically two to four screws on a C-frame mount.
  • Transfer the blower wheel to the new motor shaft (set screw or press fit depending on assembly).
  • Reinstall the motor, reconnect terminals, restore power, and verify the pressure switch closes during the pre-purge cycle.
Maintenance Tip: While the inducer assembly is open, inspect the blower wheel for carbon buildup or cracks, and check the pressure switch hose for blockage or cracks. A cracked hose or fouled wheel can cause the same pressure switch lockout symptoms as a failed motor.
Class B Insulation Rating: This motor carries a Class B insulation rating, suitable for normal residential furnace duty cycles. Do not use in continuous-duty or high-ambient industrial applications where a Class F or H rating would be required.

Important Information -- Read Before Installing
  • Always disconnect and lock out power at the breaker before removing or installing the draft inducer motor.
  • Confirm your existing motor data plate matches 115V, 60 Hz, 1/35 HP, and 3000 RPM before ordering. Using a mismatched motor can prevent the pressure switch from closing or can overload the furnace control board.
  • This motor is rated for a maximum ambient temperature of 104 deg F (40 deg C). Do not install in environments that regularly exceed this limit.
  • Class B insulation only -- not rated for continuous industrial duty.
  • This listing covers the motor only. The blower wheel, inducer housing, gasket, and pressure switch hose are not included.
  • Verify terminal connector size on your wiring harness (0.25 in. x 0.032 in. female push-on) before installation.
  • If the furnace continues to lockout on a pressure switch fault after motor replacement, inspect the pressure switch hose, blower wheel, and flue for obstructions before condemning the new motor.
