The Curt 16427 bracket kit is engineered specifically for 2014-2026 Ram 2500 trucks that are not equipped with the factory 5th-wheel prep package. The custom brackets contour to the truck frame and provide the under-bed mounting points needed for compatible Curt above-bed 5th wheel rails.
The vehicle-specific design uses existing frame mounting locations to eliminate the need for frame drilling. Heavy-duty carbon-steel construction and a rust-resistant liquid A-coat help provide long-lasting durability beneath the truck bed.

Curt 16427 is specifically designed for Ram 2500 trucks without the factory 5th-wheel prep package. Trucks equipped with the OEM puck system require different 5th wheel mounting equipment.
The custom brackets do not require drilling into the truck frame. Installation of above-bed 5th wheel rails still requires appropriately positioned holes through the truck bed according to the Curt installation instructions.

Curt 16427 does not include above-bed 5th wheel rails or a 5th wheel hitch. Curt 16104 or 16204 base rails are required and sold separately.
