Use a compatible Sidewinder pin box with a Husky 16KW or 26KW fifth-wheel hitch using the Husky Towing 33173 wedge. It mounts behind the king pin to restrict movement between the pin box and hitch head so the Sidewinder can pivot at its intended rear mounting point.
The Husky Towing 33173 allows compatible Husky 16KW and 26KW fifth-wheel hitch heads to be used with a Sidewinder-style rotating pin box. Unlike a conventional fifth-wheel connection, the Sidewinder is designed to pivot farther rearward at its turret rather than allowing the king pin to rotate freely inside the hitch head.
The wedge permanently attaches behind the king pin on the pin box and fits into the hitch-head opening when coupled. This restricts rotational movement between the pin box and hitch head so the Sidewinder system can operate as intended.
