JR Products 60" POL Pigtail UL/CSA Approved JR Products 06-0131 -- 1/4" ID OEM Propane Pigtail Hose, 60 Inches

Replace or extend your RV propane connection with confidence. The JR Products 06-0131 is a factory-style 60-inch rubber pigtail hose that connects your LP tank's POL valve to your coach's 1/4" inverted flare supply line. UL and CSA listed for safety-critical LP fuel service.

OEM-Quality LP Pigtail for RV Propane Systems

The 06-0131 is a direct-replacement propane pigtail hose built to OEM specifications for recreational vehicles, travel trailers, fifth wheels, and motorhomes that use a POL-style cylinder valve. At 60 inches (5 feet) of flexible rubber hose, it gives you enough reach to connect horizontally or vertically mounted ASME tanks and standard 20 lb or 30 lb DOT cylinders without straining the fittings.

One end terminates in a POL (Prest-O-Lite) left-hand-thread fitting that threads directly into your propane tank valve -- no wrench flats, hand-tightened by design. The other end is a 1/4" male inverted flare for connection to a regulator inlet or the coach's hard-line supply fitting. Both ends are standard in the RV industry and compatible with most two-stage and single-stage LP regulators.

POL Tank Fitting

Left-hand-thread POL end fits standard 20 lb, 30 lb, and ASME propane cylinders with POL-style valves. Hand-tighten only -- no sealant required.

1/4" Male Inverted Flare

Right-angle or straight 1/4" male inverted flare end connects to most RV LP regulators and inline fittings without adapters.

60" Flexible Rubber Hose

Five feet of pliable rubber hose allows routing around tank compartment walls and regulator brackets without kinking or stressing connections.

UL and CSA Listed

Independently tested and listed to UL and CSA standards for LP gas service -- meeting codes required by most RV manufacturers and campground inspections.

Typical Applications

  • Replacing cracked, kinked, or aged OEM propane pigtail hoses on travel trailers, fifth wheels, and motorhomes
  • Connecting a 20 lb or 30 lb DOT cylinder to a two-stage RV regulator
  • Dual-tank LP systems where each cylinder uses its own pigtail into a changeover valve or T-fitting
  • Reconnecting a regulator after a tank valve or regulator replacement
  • Short-term propane service hose for generator or appliance testing
OEM Fit, No Adapters Needed
The POL fitting and 1/4" male inverted flare are the two most common connection points in RV LP systems. This pigtail drops in as a direct replacement on the vast majority of gas coaches without requiring additional adapters or fittings.

Installation Tips

  • Turn off the tank valve and bleed any residual pressure from the line before disconnecting the old hose.
  • Inspect the tank valve POL seat and the regulator inverted flare port for nicks or debris before installing.
  • The POL fitting is hand-tightened only -- do not use a wrench on the POL end. Over-tightening can damage the internal O-ring seal.
  • Use a wrench only on the 1/4" inverted flare end -- snug but do not overtorque.
  • After connecting, apply soapy water or LP leak detector solution to both ends and all fittings. Open the tank valve slowly and inspect for bubbles before lighting any appliances.
  • Route the hose so it does not contact sharp edges, exhaust components, or battery terminals.
Hose Replacement Interval
Rubber LP hoses degrade over time from UV exposure, ozone, and heat cycling. Inspect your pigtail at least once per season for cracks, abrasion, or hardening. Most RV service guidelines recommend replacing LP hoses every 5 to 7 years regardless of visible condition.
POL vs. QCC1 -- Know Your Tank Valve
This hose uses a POL (Prest-O-Lite) fitting, which threads into older-style tank valves common on ASME tanks and many pre-2000 DOT cylinders. If your propane tank has a newer QCC1 (Type 1) handwheel valve (common on retail exchange 20 lb cylinders), you need a QCC1 pigtail instead. Check your tank valve type before ordering.
Warranty
JR Products backs the 06-0131 with a limited 90-day manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Important Information -- Read Before Installing
  • This hose is intended for LP propane service only. Do not use with natural gas, compressed air, or any other gas or liquid.
  • The POL tank fitting is left-hand thread -- turn counterclockwise to tighten onto the tank valve. Do not force or use a wrench on the POL end; hand-tight is correct.
  • Always perform a leak test with approved LP leak detector solution after any connection. Never use an open flame to check for leaks.
  • Do not use this hose if it shows cracks, kinks, abrasion, or has been exposed to flame or extreme heat.
  • Verify your tank valve type before installing: this pigtail fits POL valves only and is NOT compatible with QCC1 (Type 1) tank valves.
  • Keep hose away from sharp edges, exhaust heat sources, and electrical terminals during routing and use.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal codes governing LP gas installations in recreational vehicles.
