Every PullRite SuperGlide fifth wheel hitch requires a capture plate to function. The 331705 QuickConnect Capture Plate is built for a wider range of Lippert king pin boxes than the 331704, covering Lippert 1621 (long), 1116 (long), and 1716 (medium) pin boxes that measure 13-1/4" wide.
Once installed on your trailer's king pin box, the plate's wedge isolates the king pin from turning freely in the fifth wheel plate. That isolation is what activates the SuperGlide's cam assembly, allowing the hitch to slide back along its rails during turns and keep your trailer from contacting the truck's cab.

This capture plate is sized for Lippert 1621, 1116, and 1716 king pin boxes with a width measurement ("A") of 13-1/4". PullRite specifies this measurement should be no more than 1/16" less than 13-1/4" for a proper fit. Measure your king pin box using a straight edge before ordering — PullRite specifies that if your king pin box model and its measured width don't match up, go by your actual measurement rather than the listed model number. All SuperGlide hitches require a capture plate to operate; if a QuickConnect plate isn't available for your exact pin box, a Universal Capture Plate may be used instead.
