Required primer for sealing TPO, EPDM, and polypropylene plastic accessories with Dicor Ultra Sealant. Solvent-based formula. Dries light blue then fades to clear. 1 pint can.
Must be applied to TPO, EPDM, and polypropylene accessories before using Dicor Ultra Sealant — ensures a lasting, weatherproof bond
Dries to a light blue color for easy visual coverage confirmation — fades to clear with sun exposure
Apply with a 1.5" paintbrush in a thin coat 2–3 inches wide on membrane and accessory flanges
Works on TPO roofing, EPDM rubber roofing, and polypropylene plastic rooftop accessories
Surface Preparation: 1. Clean all surfaces thoroughly — must be free of dust, dirt, loose particles, grease, oil, and any other contaminants 2. Ensure all surfaces are completely dry before priming Application: 3. Using a 1.5" paintbrush, apply a thin coat of Ultra Sealant Primer to the membrane — approximately 2–3 inches wide on either side of the seam or area to be sealed 4. Apply primer to polypropylene plastic accessory flanges as well 5. Do not let primer puddle — apply only a thin, even coat 6. Allow primed areas to dry completely — primer will appear light blue when dry 7. Once dry, proceed with Dicor Ultra Sealant application 8. Replace lid on primer can immediately to avoid evaporation
Ultra Sealant Primer is required before applying Ultra Sealant on: • TPO roofing membranes • EPDM rubber roofing membranes • Polypropylene plastic rooftop accessories Ultra Sealant Primer is NOT needed on: • PVC, Signature Silicone Coating, aluminum, steel, brass, fiberglass, SMC, ABS, Kynar, Galvalume, painted surfaces, vinyl, glass, granite, marble, or wood
Ultra Sealant Primer must NOT be used on polycarbonate materials or plastics under stress — such as polycarbonate skylights. For polycarbonate and polyethylene accessories, use Dicor's 501 or 551 Lap Sealant instead.
