The Thetford 50323 is the basic ABS waste valve in Thetford's Slide-EZ sewer valve series — a direct-mount replacement for the proprietary Thetford dump valve system used on Airstream travel trailers and other vintage and older RVs. Previously known as Thetford part number 08706, this is the same valve under an updated part number.
The valve mounts directly to the holding tank via a flat top plate with four mounting holes at 4-1/4" center-to-center (approximately 6" diagonally). The bottom outlet uses Thetford's O-ring connection style — it presses into a 3" hub fitting with a 3-1/2" ID. The ABS plastic blade slide gate is operated by the threaded 2-handle. No extension is possible on this basic version. The mounting seal and four mounting screws are included.
This is a legacy-system part for the Thetford proprietary sewer standard — not compatible with modern Valterra-style bayonet fittings used on RVs built after the early 1990s.

The 50323/08706 is for RVs using the Thetford proprietary sewer system — the older standard used on Airstreams and other vintage trailers primarily from the 1960s through 1990s. It is not compatible with modern Valterra bayonet fittings or standard 3" sewer connections used on RVs built after the early 1990s. Confirm your trailer uses the Thetford O-ring / 4-hole flange system before ordering — the mounting geometry is unique to this system.
