The 3M adhesive backing sticks directly to clean, dry aluminum awning rails, fiberglass sidewalls, or rigid plastic trim. Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol, peel the liner, and press firmly. No drilling, no brackets, no special tools. Route the wire to a 12V fused accessory circuit or a dedicated awning light port and connect with the included connectors.
This strip runs on 12V DC only. It is compatible with standard RV house battery systems, solar setups, and 12V converter outputs. Connect to a fused 12V source rated for the strip's draw. Do not connect to 120V AC shore power directly -- an inverter does not make this safe; use your RV's 12V distribution panel or a dedicated LED-rated 12V power supply.

The 3M adhesive backing bonds strongly to smooth aluminum, fiberglass, ABS plastic, and painted metal. It does not adhere reliably to raw wood, fabric, heavily textured surfaces, or surfaces contaminated with wax, silicone, or road grime. Surface prep with isopropyl alcohol is required for maximum bond strength.
